Transmission apparatus and associated method of encoded data
A transmission apparatus includes an encoder that codes a data sequence with a parity check matrix, wherein the data sequence includes a final information bit sequence and virtual information bits, and outputs the final information bit sequence and a parity sequence, as LDPC codes, and a transmitter that transmits the LDPC codes as a transmission data. A column length of the parity check matrix is longer than a total length of the final information bit sequence and the parity sequence, by a length of the virtual information bits that are set to 0 and are not transmitted. The total length of the final information bit sequence and the parity sequence has a sequence length corresponding to a length from a first column to a determined column of the parity check matrix. The encoder generates the LDPC codes by using the first column to the determined column among one or more column(s) of the parity check matrix.
Transmission apparatus, transmission method, reception apparatus and reception method
Disclosed are an encoder, a transmitting device, a coding method and a transmission method with which the transmission amount is reduced and a deterioration in transmission efficiency is suppressed while improving reception quality when QC-LDPC or a like block coding is used. A puncture pattern setting unit searches for a puncture pattern for each integral multiple of the number of columns or for each divisor of the number of columns of a sub block matrix that forms a check matrix (H) of a QC-LDPC code, and a puncture unit (data reduction unit) switches the puncture pattern for each integral multiple of the number of columns or for each divisor of the number of columns of the sub block matrix that forms the check matrix of the QC-LDPC code.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF COMMUNICATING A PHYSICAL LAYER PROTOCOL DATA UNIT (PPDU)
Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, devices, systems and methods of communicating a Physical Layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU). For example, an Enhanced Directional Multi-Gigabit (DMG) (EDMG) station (STA) may be configured to encode a Physical Layer (PHY) Service Data Unit (PSDU) of at least one user in an EDMG PHY Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) according to an EDMG Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) encoding scheme, which is based at least on a count of one or more spatial streams for transmission to the user; and transmit the EDMG PPDU in a transmission over a channel bandwidth in a frequency band above 45 Gigahertz (GHz).
Communication of user specific control information in a wireless network
A wireless device generates a High Efficiency Signal B (HE-SIG-B) field by Block Convolution Code (BCC) encoding and rate-matching a BCC block of the HE-SIG-B field, generates a Physical Layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) including the HE-SIG-B field, and transmits the PPDU. A total number N is a total number of bits of the HE-SIG-B field that precede the BCC block, and is greater than 0. The BCC block has a puncturing pattern depending on the total number N. A wireless device receives a PPDU. The PPDU includes an HE-SIG-B field that includes an encoded BCC block. The wireless device de-rate-matches the encoded BCC block having a puncturing pattern depending on a total number N. The total number N is a total number of decoded bits of the HE-SIG-B field that preceded the BCC block, and the total number N is greater than 0.
Puncturing for structured low density parity check (LDPC) codes
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to techniques for puncturing of structured low density parity check (LDPC) codes. A method for wireless communications by wireless node is provided. The method generally includes encoding a set of information bits based on a LDPC code to produce a code word, the LDPC code defined by a matrix having a first number of variable nodes and a second number of check nodes, puncturing the code word to produce a punctured code word, wherein the puncturing is performed according to a first puncturing pattern designed to puncture bits corresponding to one or more of the variable nodes having a certain degree of connectivity to the check nodes, and transmitting the punctured code word.

Method for optimising the transmission of video data streams in a wireless network
The invention relates to a method for improving the reliability and the reception quality of video data streams over a wireless network controlled by Wi-Fi communication protocols, the video data stream being encoded in the form of packets Q each including K first data blocks and H redundancy blocks for forward error correction (FEC), said stream comprising a series of packets G each including K+N blocks which are transmitted by at least one transmitting device multicasting same to client viewing devices such as smartphones. Said method includes the following steps, implemented by the client device for each of the data packets G received from the one or more transmitting devices: a/ monitoring the correct reception of the K first data blocks, decoding and viewing the video stream if the result is positive; b/ if all of the K first data blocks are not received, decoding if possible by means of a forward error correction (FEC) algorithm; c/ if the total number X of K+N blocks received is lower than K or if a positive result is not obtained from the preceding decoding step, sending a message regarding the one or more lost blocks; d/ if a statistical algorithm of the transmitting device organizes the resending of the missing data, checking the reception of data according to a/ and b/, decoding and viewing the video stream if the result is positive.
