SUBSTITUTING STREAMING STATION FOR OVER-THE-AIR BROADCAST
An automotive radio receiver includes an over-the-air radio tuner and a network interface. When a broadcast received at the radio receiver, it includes embedded information that can be used to identify the radio station providing the broadcast. The radio receiver uses the embedded information to identify a streaming station that corresponds to the broadcast station. The radio receiver transmits information associated with the streaming station to a web service, which returns an address at which the radio receiver can access the streaming station. The address of the streaming station is stored in a memory accessible to the radio receiver for later use. The next time the radio receiver is tuned to the same broadcast station, the radio receiver instead connects to the streaming station at the stored address.
ADAPTIVE DUAL POLARIZED MIMO FOR DYNAMICALLY MOVING TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER
Systems and methods are presented for increasing throughput between mobile transmitters/receivers (e.g., between an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and a ground station) using orthogonally polarized transmission channels. The system may first calibrate the receiver and transmitter antenna pairs using pilot signals and then may update look up tables for feedforward correction. The system may decouple and predict the cross polarization interference due to relative dynamic movement between the transmitter and the receiver. The system may perform a closed-loop suboptimal estimation to generate refined corrections by minimizing a difference between a training vector and a pilot-signal feedback. Cross-polarization discrimination between the transmission and reception antennas may then be Cancelled to improve signal to noise and interference ratio and performance of the system.
Unique Word and Burst Header Detection for an Expanded Frequency Range
Various data transmission detection systems are described. A receiver input through which a wireless data transmission signal is received may be present. A plurality of mixers in communication with the receiver input may be present, which may be digitally implemented. A data transmission detector may be present that receives a mixed wireless data transmission signal from each mixer and creates a plurality of scores. A match detection module may be present that receives the scores and identifies a highest score. The signal mapped to the highest score to be selected for further processing.
TRANSMISSION OF STREAMING STATION ASSOCIATED WITH OVER-THE-AIR BROADCAST STATION
A method includes receiving, from a requesting device, a broadcast station identifier associated with an over-the-air broadcast station. In response to receiving the station identifier, returning to the requesting device an address of a streaming station corresponding to the over-the-air broadcast station. A determination is made regarding whether the requesting device will insert advertisements locally. In response to determining that the requesting will insert advertisements locally, custom advertisements are transmitted to the requesting device for insertion into the streaming station corresponding to the over-the-air broadcast station.
AUDIO OUTPUT SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
An audio output system for a vehicle. The audio output system includes a volume setting device for setting a volume of an audio signal, an audio input for an audio input signal from an audio source, a warning tone device for providing a warning tone signal, an audio-level measuring device for measuring the audio level at the audio input, and a control unit. The audio-level measuring device is configured to limit the maximum audio level of the audio input signal to a predefined first threshold value as a function of the set volume. The control unit is configured to control an audio output signal on the basis of the warning tone signal, the audio input signal and the set volume, and to output an audible or visual notification if the audio input signal present at the audio input has no audio level.
VEHICLE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE
A vehicle wireless communication device includes: an electric wave transmission portion that has a function of transmitting an electric wave; an electric wave reception portion that has a function of receiving an electric wave; a positioning portion that has a positioning function; a temperature acquisition portion that acquires a temperature of the vehicle wireless communication device; and a function controller that represses multiple functions or restitutes a repressed function.

MULTIPLE-INPUT MULTIPLE-OUTPUT TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION
Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) transmitters, receivers and transceivers are disclosed, as well as other associated devices, systems and methods. In particular, aspects and embodiments of the disclosure relate to MIMO transmitters, receivers and transceivers implemented as modules of relay devices for signals transmitted to and/or from base-stations and/or mobile-stations, in particular when such devices are implemented on mobile and/or aerial vehicles, and in particular for transmitting, receiving and/or forwarding wireless communication signals at frequencies in what is termed the “millimeter-wave band”. In such devices, a power control unit is configured to determine an energy availability measure and/or a power demand measure and, in response, cause a switching unit to connect a plurality of RF chains to a plurality of antenna elements in different states.
Controller device for a motor vehicle, and motor vehicle
A controller device for a motor vehicle, in particular for an autonomously operable motor vehicle, having a controller for operating the motor vehicle, and a protective device for protecting the controller from electromagnetic interference fields or interfering signals. The protective device has a receiver device for acquiring electromagnetic interference fields or interfering signals, a processing device for providing information about an electromagnetic interference field or interfering signal acquired by the receiver device, and a control unit that evaluates the acquired field and/or interference signal as a function of the acquired information.
