INTERFERENCE DETECTION AND COARSE PARAMETER ESTIMATION USING LEARNED AND INFERRED BASELINE INFORMATION

Improved techniques for estimating parameters of a jamming signal. An input signal is identified. This input signal is suspected of being a jammed composite signal. Attributes of a reference signal are determined. The reference signal is an expected signal that was expected to be received. A form fitting operation is performed in which the reference signal is formed fitted with the input signal. The reference signal is subtracted from the input signal to generate an isolated output signal. A suspected portion of the isolated output signal is identified. An estimated symbol rate and an estimated center frequency for the jamming signal are determined based on the suspected portion. The estimated symbol rate and the estimated center frequency are used to facilitate a subsequent mitigation operation of eliminating or reducing an impact of the jamming signal against the signal of interest.

An electronic device may include wireless circuitry having one or more radios and one or more antennas. The wireless circuitry may operate in the presence of radio-frequency interference coming from various sources, which can cause a loss of sensitivity or desensitization of the wireless circuitry. To detect and mitigate desensitization of the wireless circuitry, one or more processors may receive wireless circuitry performance metric data, discriminate between wideband interference and narrowband interference based on the wireless circuitry performance metric data, and use different representative noise floor values for wideband interference or narrowband interference to characterize the desensitization of the wireless circuitry.

In an embodiment, a UE determines QCL information that indicates an association between a spatial parameter and a current transmission configuration, and conveys the determined QCL information to a BS. In another embodiment, a BS transmits a DCI that triggers transmission of a reference signal that includes QCL information that indicates an association between a spatial parameter and a current transmission configuration, whereby any DCI triggering any reference signal that includes any QCL information is configured to trigger a UE to send an express acknowledgment or an implied acknowledgment to that DCI.

Apparatus and methods for envelope controlled radio frequency (RF) switches are provided. In certain embodiments, a power amplifier provides an RF signal to an antenna by way of an RF switch. Additionally, the envelope signal is used not only to control a power amplifier supply voltage of the power amplifier, but also to control a regulated voltage used to turn on the RF switch. For example, a level shifter can use a regulated voltage from charge pump circuitry to turn on the RF switch, and the envelope signal can be provided to the charge pump circuitry and used to control the voltage level of the regulated voltage over time.

Packet prioritization for network-based software-defined radio

Disclosed in some examples are systems, methods, devices, and machine-readable mediums for improved communications between a software-defined radio front-end device and a network-based computing device. Rather than packetize samples together, same bit positions from multiple ADC samples may be packetized together. If a Quality of Service (QoS) metric of the network connection between the RF front-end device and the network-based processing computing drops below a threshold, the RF front-end device may prioritize sending packets with the more significant bits over packets with less significant bits. In other examples, the RF front-end device may prioritize samples corresponding to certain data types over other data types.
