Dynamic digital communication system control

Control of a digital communication system having a plurality of communication lines on which signals are transmitted and received is implemented using a variety of methods and systems. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method is implemented where the signals are affected by interference during transmission and each of the communication lines has at least one transmitter and at least one receiver. A model is created of the interference characteristics due to the signals carried on the communication lines. Interference characteristics for a line are determined based on the model and actual signals carried on other communication lines different from the line for which the characteristics are being determined. Actual interference is compensated for on the communication line using the determined interference characteristics.

Systems and methods for extracting polarized sub-signals from a dual-polarized signal includes isolating the polarized sub-signals using one or more filters. When a single filter is used to derive a first sub-signal, analog interference cancellation may be used to derive the second sub-signal. When two filters are used, the first and second sub-signals may each be derived using a corresponding filter.

ANTENNA DISTRIBUTION UNIT
20210083703 · 2021-03-18 ·

An antenna distribution unit distributes an input RF signal comprised of multiple discrete antenna feeds to a plurality of electronic devices in communication therewith. The antenna distribution unit engages in three-way signal splitting across a pair of successive splitting stages in order to produce an even multiplicity of high-quality signals across nine output ports. By limiting signal splitting to two splitting stages and carefully selecting components to maintain series and parallel impedance, a high-fidelity output signal is produced having an essentially flat spectrum over the target frequency band. In particular, the antenna distribution unit is optimized for use in the distribution of signals within the TV VHF low band of 50 MHz to 88 MHz, the TV VHF high band of 175 MHz to 213 MHz, the TV UHF band of 470 MHz to 610 MHz, and the 900 band of 900 MHz to 1000 MHz.
