EQUALIZATION AND ESTIMATION PROCESSING IN WIRELESS DEVICES

Millimeter-wave (mmWave) and sub-mmWave technology, apparatuses, and methods that relate to transceivers and receivers for wireless communications are described. The various aspects include an apparatus of a communication device including one or more antennas configured to receive an RF signal and an ADC system. The ADC system includes a 1-bit ADC configured to receive the RF signal, and an ADC controller circuitry configured to measure a number of positive samples in the received RF signal for a plurality of thresholds of the 1-bit ADC, estimate receive signal power associated with the received RF signal based on the measured number of positive samples, determine a direct current(DC) offset in the received RF signal using the estimated received signal power, and adjust the received RF signal based on the determined DC offset.

Disclosed in the present application are a method for reducing SGLTE coupling de-sense and a mobile terminal, the method including: filtering out an LTE network frequency band in a signal transmitted by a signal transmission end of a GSM; and filtering out a network frequency band in a signal of a signal reception end accessing the GSM other than a GSM network frequency band. Employing the present application may eliminate mutual interference between a GSM signal and an LTE signal due to the GSM network frequency band and the LTE network frequency band getting too close to each other, which greatly alleviates SGLTE mobile terminal coupling de-sense situation.

A binary receiver combines a fast amplifier with a relatively slow amplifier for noise rejection. Both the fast and slow amplifiers employ hysteresis. The fast amplifier has relatively lower hysteresis, meaning that its sensitivity is a less effected by prior data values but more susceptible to glitch-induced errors. Conversely, the slow amplifier has relatively higher hysteresis and rejects glitches but introduces undesirable signal-propagation delays. A state machine taking input from both amplifiers allows the receiver to filter glitches without incurring a significant data-propagation delay.

The apparatus may also comprise means for determining a Passive InterModulation (PIM) value of a component of the RF system contributing as a source of PIM; determining that a passive intermodulation (PIM) cancellation system should be enabled if the PIM value is above a predetermined threshold from the noise floor. Nested feedback for offset cancellation in a wireline receiver

Systems and methods are provided for optimizing offset compensation in a receiver with multiple offset compensation D/A converters. At each stage where offset cancellation is applied, there is a fan-out of two or more. At the final stage, comparator offset compensation codes are summed and compared against a digital reference. In one version the digital reference is zero. A second implementation has a non-zero digital reference which is the sum of comparator offsets stored from start up. The difference between the sum of offsets and digital reference is applied to a digital accumulator. The most significant bits of the digital accumulator are applied to a digital D/A converter, which cancel analog offsets in an intermediate stage of amplifiers. The summation of offsets feeding into an accumulator is implemented for all preceding stages.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving, by a radio frequency (RF) mechanical device, signals relating to one or more crossed-dipole radiating elements of an antenna system, performing, by the RF mechanical device, polarization rotation of the signals to derive output signals having polarizations that are rotated in a manner that mimics physical rotation of the one or more crossed-dipole radiating elements, and providing, by the RF mechanical device, the output signals to enable avoidance of interference.
