Bidirectional phase-based distance estimation with crystal offset
A transceiver circuit is disclosed. The transceiver circuit includes an antenna, a receiver RF chain configured to receive a receiver RF signal from the antenna, a transmitter RF chain configured to transmit a transmitter RF signal to the antenna, and a controller configured to cause the receiver RF chain to receive a first distance estimate between the antenna and another transceiver circuit, to calculate a second distance estimate between the antenna and the other transceiver circuit, and to determine a range estimate between the antenna and the other transceiver circuit based on the first distance estimate and the second distance estimate.
Wireless radio switching
Examples are provided for establishing a bonded zone comprising a first playback device comprising a respective first wireless radio and a second playback device comprising a second respective wireless radio. The first and second playback devices may establish a bonded zone comprising at least the first and second playback device. While in the established bonded zone, the first playback device may determine that the first playback device is in the established bonded zone and that the first playback device is not currently playing audio in synchrony with the second playback device. Responsive to determining that the first playback device is not playing audio in synchrony, the first playback device may disable communicating via the first wireless radio of the first playback device and send a message to the second playback device to disable communicating via the first wireless radio of the second playback device.

METHODS AND DEVICES FOR SIGNAL DETECTION AND CHANNEL ESTIMATION, AND ASSOCIATED COMPUTER PROGRAM
A method for detecting (DET) a signal in a communication system including a plurality of communication channels, from a plurality of noisy values respectively representative of the transmission through the communication channels, is provided. The propagation in the communication channels is characterized by at least one variable. The set of values that can be taken by the variable is divided into a plurality of ranges. The method includes receiving (E4) the signals respectively transmitted in the plurality of communication channels, and detecting (E20) a signal corresponding to a value of the variable lying within one of the plurality of ranges by comparing, with a predetermined threshold, a value taken by a correlator linked to the range in question and calculated as a function of the noisy values. A channel estimation method, a detection device, a channel estimation device and a computer program are also described.

Application based reconfiguring of remote control transmission rate behavior
Aspects of the disclosure relate to a remote control which may include one or more buttons configured to provide input to the remote control upon being activated, a transmitter for transmitting data, a receiver for receiving data, a processor and memory storing computer executable instructions that, when executed, cause the two-way remote control to perform a method for configuring repeat transmission behavior of one or more of the buttons of the two-way remote control. Further, the receiver may be configured to receive data from a device configured to be controlled by the remote control and the data may include instructions for configuring the repeat transmission behavior of the one or more buttons of the two-way remote control. Additionally, the two-way remote control may configure the repeat transmission behavior of the one or more buttons of the two-way remote control based on the data received from the device.
COMMUNICATION DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
An adaptive radio frequency module including a switching circuit to switch receipt of a voltage, an assembly including the adaptive RF module, a system comprising a base unit with one or more radio frequency modules, and a method of operation of the system are provide.
Remote control system, remote commander, and remote control server
An information processing apparatus and server apparatus are disclosed. In one example, the information processing apparatus is configured to display content on a first display and transmit an instruction to display the content, which is being displayed on the first display, on a second display of a first external device. This instruction causes a displaying of the content at a specified playback start point on the second display.
Portable battery charger with safety features
A portable battery charger having a battery assembly, a security assembly, and a communication assembly is disclosed. The battery assembly includes a rechargeable battery that is stored within a rectangular housing. The security assembly includes various security features that are stored within the housing such as a pepper spray dispenser and a high definition camera. Furthermore, the security assembly includes a voice recorder that clearly records audio from a surrounding area. Additionally, the video and audio that is captured is stored within an SD memory card that is inserted into the housing. The communication assembly includes a wireless communication module within the housing that connects to a mobile device through a Bluetooth connection.
