Method and apparatus for receiving chip-by-chip multiplexed CSK signals
A method of receiving two chip-by-chip multiplexed CSK signals (e.g., GNSS signals) and searching for a non-CSK signal with optimal performance at a given digit capacity of a sampling memory resided in parallel correlators. For CSK signals Prompt, Early and Late results for each of possible code shift are calculated as different sums of four punctured convolutions. Depending on configuration, the method allows to receive both multiplexed CSK signals with lesser quality or one of the CSK signals with better quality. The method can be implemented as an apparatus with four punctured correlators, a set of multipliers by 1 or 2.sup.N, another set of multipliers by 1 or 0, summers of four input to one result, a RAM, searchers of maximum, and conditional commutators.
CODING IN A POSITIONING SYSTEM
Embodiments describe determining position by selecting a set of digital pseudorandom sequences. The magnitudes of the cross-correlation between any two sequences of the chosen set are below a specified threshold. A subset of digital pseudorandom sequences are selected from the set such that the magnitudes of the autocorrelation function of each member of the subset, within a specified region adjacent to the peak of the autocorrelation function, are equal to or less than a prescribed value. Each transmitter transmits a positioning signal, and at least a portion of the positioning signal is modulated with at least one member of the subset. At least two transmitters of the plurality of transmitters modulate respective positioning signals with different members of the subset of digital pseudorandom sequences.
MODERNIZED GLOBAL NAVIGATION SATELLITE SYSTEM (GNSS) RECEIVERS AND COMMERCIALLY VIABLE CONSUMER GRADE GNSS RECEIVERS
GNSS receivers and systems within such receivers use improvements to reduce memory usage while providing sufficient processing resources to receive and acquire and track E5 band GNSS signals directly (without attempting in one embodiment to receive L1 GNSS signals). Other aspects are also described.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIGNAL INTERFERENCE PROCESSING
A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method for measuring a power level in at least a portion of a plurality of resource blocks occurring in a radio frequency spectrum, wherein the measuring occurs for a plurality of time cycles to generate a plurality of power level measurements, calculating a baseline power level according to at least a portion of the plurality of power levels, determining a threshold from the baseline power level, and monitoring at least a portion of the plurality of resource blocks for signal interference according to the threshold. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Multi-antenna detection, localization, and filtering of complex time-and-doppler-shifted signals
Systems and methods for detecting, localizing, and filtering signals such as radiofrequency signals using an array of antennas are disclosed. Input signals each containing a signal of interested are received, along with a reference signal sharing one or more characteristics of the signal-of-interest. Predetermined time delays and frequency shifts are applied to the input signals such that the signal-of-interest components of the signals are synchronized and to cancel any Doppler-shifting between the signal-of-interest components. A filtering process is employed to filter the shifted input signals and sum them such that a metric indicating the degree of difference between the reference signal and the summed filtered signals (such as the mean squared error, for example) is minimized.

WIDE AREA POSITIONING SYSTEM
Systems and methods are described for determining position of a receiver. The positioning system comprises a transmitter network including transmitters that broadcast positioning signals. The positioning system comprises a remote receiver that acquires and tracks the positioning signals and/or satellite signals. The satellite signals are signals of a satellite-based positioning system. A first mode of the remote receiver uses terminal-based positioning in which the remote receiver computes a position using the positioning signals and/or the satellite signals. The positioning system comprises a server coupled to the remote receiver. A second operating mode of the remote receiver comprises network-based positioning in which the server computes a position of the remote receiver from the positioning signals and/or satellite signals, where the remote receiver receives and transfers to the server the positioning signals and/or satellite signals.
