ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR HAVING AN AUTOMATIC LACING SYSTEM
A lacing system for an article of footwear includes a sole structure, an upper attached to the sole structure with a lateral side, a medial side, and a tongue, and a housing disposed on the tongue. A lateral side flap extends from the sole structure along the lateral side of the upper toward the tongue having an upper end next to the tongue. A medial side flap extends from the sole structure along the medial side of the upper toward the tongue having an upper end being next to the tongue. A plurality of lateral lace retainers is disposed along the upper end of the lateral side flap, and a plurality of medial lace retainers is disposed along the upper end of the medial side flap. A lace extends from the housing through the plurality of lateral and medial lace retainers in a crisscrossing manner across the tongue.
SHOELACE LOOSENING PREVENTION DEVICE
A shoelace loosening prevention device includes a casing member including a cover part that has a front end cut-portion and a rear end cut-portion, a bottom that has a drawing-out member fixing portion, a guide hole, and a rear end cut-portion, sides that have fixed pressing-protrusions formed inside thereof, respectively, and a pressing member accommodation section and a feeding member accommodation section, a pressing member accommodated in the pressing member accommodation section, having a guide protrusion at a center of a bottom thereof, and having moving pressing-protrusions on both sides thereof, an elastic member having a first end accommodated in the elastic member accommodation section, a feeding member accommodated in the feeding member accommodation section, coupled to the pressing member, and forming a pair of left and right shoelace drawing-in holes, and sides coupled to a front end of the casing member and having shoelace drawing-out holes, respectively.

Tightening mechanisms and applications including the same
A reel based closure device includes a housing, a spool positioned within the housing, and a knob that is operably coupled with the spool so that an operation of the knob causes the spool to rotate in a first direction within the housing. The spool has an upper flange, a lower flange, and a cylindrical wall disposed between the upper flange and the lower flange. The spool is rotatable in the first direction to wind a tension member about the spool's cylindrical wall when the spool is rotated in the first direction. The tension member has a first end and a second end positioned opposite the first end. The cylindrical wall has three holes through which the first end of the tension member is inserted to secure the first end of the tension member to the spool.
