Wireless Device Preamble Transmission Timing
Methods and apparatuses are described for wireless communications. Cells may be grouped into a plurality of cell groups. A wireless device may receive a control command and transmit a random access preamble via a secondary cell.
Wireless Device Transmission Timing
Systems, methods, and apparatuses are described for wireless communications. A wireless device may transmit an uplink signal via a cell of a cell group. Transmission timing of the uplink signal may be based on a cell of the cell group and a timing adjustment associated with a different cell group.
COMMUNICATION METHOD, BASE STATION, USER EQUIPMENT, AND SYSTEM
A communication method, a base station, user equipment, and a system are provided. The method includes: receiving uplink data that is sent by the user equipment in a specified multiple-access manner on a time-frequency resource corresponding to the specified multiple-access manner; and sending downlink data to the user equipment in a corresponding multiple-access manner on a time-frequency resource corresponding to the corresponding multiple-access manner, where the corresponding multiple-access manner is a multiple-access manner that is obtained by searching a at least two multiple-access manners according to a prestored correspondence and that is associated with the specified multiple-access manner. In this way, a problem that because one multiple-access manner is used in a same communications system, requirements of different user equipments cannot be met at the same time is resolved.
Adaptive uplink/downlink timeslot assignment in a hybrid wireless time division multiple access/code division multiple access communication system
A wireless network device may receive a first list indicating a first assignment for uplink and downlink time intervals in a time division duplex (TDD) frame and determine at least first downlink time intervals based on the first list. The device may receive a second list indicating a second assignment for uplink and downlink time intervals in a TDD frame and determine at least first uplink time intervals based on the second list. The device may determine at least second downlink time intervals and second uplink time intervals based on a third list, wherein the third list indicates a third assignment for uplink and downlink time intervals in a TDD frame, and wherein the second downlink time intervals include downlink time intervals of at least the first downlink time intervals and the second uplink time intervals include uplink time intervals of at least the first uplink time intervals.
Uplink scheduling when using interference suppression
A radio base station and a method therein for scheduling an uplink radio resource to a first user equipment in a wireless communication system which employs CDMA are provided. The method includes measuring an Interference Suppression (IS) gain for each user equipment in a set of user equipments currently being served by the radio base station. The method further includes determining a user constellation pertaining to information regarding the different user equipments in the set of user equipments and their respective bitrates, and updating a table of IS gains with the measured IS gain in bins corresponding to the determined user constellation. The method further includes predicting a load based on at least the updated table, and scheduling the uplink radio resource to the first user equipment at least partly based on the predicted load.
Signal power management in a multicarrier wireless device
A wireless device determines a first transmission power for a first signal starting in a first subframe and a second transmission power for a second signal starting in a second subframe. When a calculated power value is more than an allowable transmission power a power control mechanism is employed. The wireless device reduces signal transmission power during an overlap period if the first subframe and the second subframe overlap in time by less than a first duration. The wireless device drops a signal if the first subframe and the second subframe overlap in time by more than a second duration.
Network arrangement and method for the radio location of objects within a confined space
In a network arrangement for carrying out a location of locating objects that are arranged in a confined space and are able to be moved, the location being carried out by pulsed radio signals, wherein at least three communication-technically autarkic reference nodes that are spatially distributed and form a communication network are arranged in the confined space a communication protocol enables a location object that is arranged in the confined space to be localized by a trilateration carried out by a distance-based trilateration that is carried out by the at least three reference nodes.
Cell timing in a wireless device and base station
Methods, apparatuses, and systems are described for wireless communications. A transmission timing difference between a first cell group and a second cell group may be determined. If the transmission timing difference exceeds a threshold, one or more devices may stop transmitting uplink signals via one or more secondary cells and/or may not apply the timing adjustment for a cell group.
WIDE AREA POSITIONING SYSTEM
Systems and methods are described for determining position of a receiver. The positioning system comprises a transmitter network including transmitters that broadcast positioning signals. The positioning system comprises a remote receiver that acquires and tracks the positioning signals and/or satellite signals. The satellite signals are signals of a satellite-based positioning system. A first mode of the remote receiver uses terminal-based positioning in which the remote receiver computes a position using the positioning signals and/or the satellite signals. The positioning system comprises a server coupled to the remote receiver. A second operating mode of the remote receiver comprises network-based positioning in which the server computes a position of the remote receiver from the positioning signals and/or satellite signals, where the remote receiver receives and transfers to the server the positioning signals and/or satellite signals.
HYBRID APPARATUS USING PHYSICAL CHANNELS
A user equipment (UE) may receive a first downlink signal, which may include a resource assignment having an indication of a first resource of a plurality of resources. The resource assignment may also have an indication of a number of resources of the plurality of resources. In addition, the plurality of resources may be consecutive resources in a sequence. Further, the first downlink signal may include an indication as to a number of time intervals that the resource assignment applies. Moreover, each time interval may include at least one time slot. Additionally, the UE may receive at least one additional downlink signal over a downlink shared channel in the indicated first resource and in the number of consecutive resources in the sequence in the number of indicated time intervals. In an example, the first downlink signal may be received over a downlink signaling channel.
