ENHANCED CSI FEEDBACK FOR FD-MIMO
Enhanced channel state information (CSI) feedback is disclosed for full dimensional multiple input, multiple output (FD-MIMO) operations. In one aspect, a single CSI process is defined that is configured with an azimuth and elevation CSI-reference signal (RS) ports. A user equipment (UE) will send a precoding matrix indictor (PMI) report including a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) for the azimuth ports and a PMI for the elevation ports. One of the PMIs is assigned a low rank. The base station will use the two PMIs to create a whole channel precoding matrix. In another aspect, a single CSI process is configured having a plurality of CSI-RS resources. The UE generates channel measurement information for each of the CSI-RS resources, but only sets a CSI report to the base station of a subset of the total number of resources.

N-path mixer-based receiver apparatus and method with transmitter self-interference rejection
An apparatus comprising: a receiver; and one or more N-path filters coupled to an input of the receiver, wherein the one or more N-path filters apply a combination of non-overlapping pulses and a pseudo noise (PN) code.
Measurement of data streams comprising data and pilot channels
A method comprises receiving a data signal on a data channel and a pilot signal on a pilot channel, demodulating the received data signal and the received pilot signal to obtain a demodulated data signal and a demodulated pilot signal, generating a data stream by decoding the demodulated data signal, generating a feedback signal by encoding the data stream, and performing a measurement of a coherent sum signal comprising the coherent sum of (1) the demodulated pilot signal and (2) the product of the demodulated data signal and the feedback signal.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR PHASE TRACKING REFERENCE SIGNAL DESIGN
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products relating to phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) design, for example, for discrete Fourier transform spread orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-S-OFDM), are provided. One method may include forming, by a network node, a phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) sample sequence using outer-most constellation points corresponding to scheduled modulation order of data channel, and scrambling the phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) sample sequence with a user equipment-specific sequence.
COORDINATED WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS USING MULTIPLE TRANSMISSION TIME INTERVALS
Coordinated wireless communications using multiple transmission time intervals (TTIs) are described. Multiple TTIs may include a first TTI and a second TTI, the second TTI having a shorter duration than the first TTI. One or more parameters may be determined for communications using the first TTI and the second TTI. A first parameter of the determined parameters for the second TTI may be associated or linked with a corresponding parameter of the first TTI, and communications using the first TTI or the second TTI may be performed using the first parameter. Wireless network nodes using the first TTI may form a CoMP cooperating set, and wireless network nodes using the second TTI may for another CoMP cooperating set, and the first parameter may be applied to each of the CoMP cooperating sets.
Set buffer state instruction
Input/output (I/O) operation requests from pageable storage mode guests are interpreted without host intervention. In a pageable mode virtual environment, requests issued by pageable storage mode guests are processed by one or more processors of the environment absent intervention from one or more hosts of the environment. Processing of the requests includes manipulating, by at least one processor on behalf of the guests, buffer state information stored in host storage. The manipulating is performed via instructions initiated by the guests and processed by one or more of the processors.
COORDINATED SYNCHRONIZATION CHANNEL TRANSMISSION AND RESTRICTED MEASUREMENT
Wireless communications systems and methods related to synchronization signal (SS) transmission coordination among base stations (BSs) and restricted SS measurements at user equipments (UEs) are provided. A first BS transmits a first SS burst in a first SS transmission period of a plurality of SS transmission periods. The first SS transmission period is designated to the first BS. A second SS transmission period of the plurality of SS transmission periods is designated to a second BS. The first SS transmission period and the second SS transmission period are different. The first BS receives, from a UE, a first signal in synchronization with the first SS burst. The first signal includes a SS measurement of the first SS burst.
Multi-Beam Cellular Communication System
A cellular communication system comprising a plurality of geographically spaced base stations (2) each of which comprise an antenna arrangement (4, 6, 8) per base station sector, each of which antenna arrangements has an antenna element for generating an array of narrow beams (10, 12, 14) covering the sector. Timeslots are simultaneously transmitted over each of the beams so as to generate successive sets of simultaneously transmitted timeslots per sector. The timeslots are each split into multiple orthogonal codes, for example Walsh codes. The communication system additionally comprising a scheduling device (31) for allocating for successive sets of timeslots common overhead channels, including a common pilot channel, which are allocated to the same sub-set of codes of each timeslot in the set. For successive sets of timeslots different data traffic is allocated to the same sub-set of codes of each timeslot in the set. This effectively generates a sector wide antenna beam carrying the common overhead channels and a plurality of narrow beams each of which carry different data traffic. Inter-beam interference is addressed by the application of Adaptive Modulation and Coding and by an inter-beam handoff scheme. The handoff scheme ensures that when an end user equipment is located in a cusp region between adjacent beams the antenna arrangement simultaneously transmits data traffic to that mobile station on at least both of the adjacent beams.
