System and method for single-hop sessions in satellite system

A system and method are disclosed for providing single-hop communication sessions in a satellite network. A timing offset is selected based on a system timing reference, and used to establishing a common timing reference. A synchronization signal is transmitted from a gateway to a satellite based on time slots aligned with the common timing reference, and subsequently forwarded from the satellite to all terminals managed by the gateway. Communication sessions are initiated by terminals using the common timing reference, and downlink transmissions from the satellite to the terminals are aligned with the synchronization signal.

The second portion comprises a sensor configured to measure a physical property and generate sensor data representative of the measured physical property. The head-wearable hearing instrument further comprises a wired data communication link extending between the first and second portions through the connector assembly for transmission of sensor data during transmit time slots. Said transmit time slots of the sensor data and at least said receipt time slots of the wireless communication channel are non-overlapping in time.

IDENTIFICATION OF A SHARED EVOLVED PACKET CORE IN A NEUTRAL HOST NETWORK
20170374704 · 2017-12-28 ·

A plurality of neutral host network (NHN) deployments may share a common evolved packet core (EPC). When a plurality of NHNs share a common EPC, continuity and mobility may be facilitated for a user equipment (UE) when the UE moves between NHNs (e.g., because the NHNs share a common EPC). Accordingly, a UE may perform a tracking area update (TAU) procedure when moving between NHNs that share a common EPC. However, a UE may need to discover whether two NHNs share a common EPC in order to perform a TAU procedure. If the UE discovers that, when moving between a first NHN and a second NHN, the NHNs do not sure a common EPC, the UE may perform an attach procedure.
