Some embodiments are provided for providing a wireless bridge to local devices on personal equipment systems. Personal equipment systems can include wireless communication systems that allow external systems, users, or both to communicate with and access data from local devices on the personal equipment systems. Personal equipment systems are provided having one or more local devices coupled thereto and in wired communication with one another. Personal equipment systems can include a wireless system and local devices attached to a headgear system, the local devices being in wired communication with one another and in wireless communication with external systems. The wireless communication system is configured to establish a wireless connection with external systems for communicating with and accessing local devices that are in wired communication with each other.

A system may be used for wirelessly transmitting data between a communication terminal positioned in a prescribed area and a remote communication station connected to a communication network. The system may include a lighting arrangement having a lighting device arranged in the prescribed region and at least one transmission device arranged in or directly on the lighting device. The transmission device may be configured to establish a first wireless optical communication connection to the remote communication stations and a second wireless communication to the communication terminal to transmit the data.
TRANSCEIVER ASSEMBLY FOR FREE SPACE POWER TRANSFER AND DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A transceiver assembly for a wireless power transfer system includes a transceiver system comprising a photodiode assembly, a voltage converter and a light emitting diode and a photodiode. The photodiode assembly may be configured to receive a high-power laser beam from a transmitter and to convert the high-power laser beam to electrical energy. The voltage converter may be configured to adjust an input impedance based on a voltage measure of the photodiode assembly so as to maximize power transfer from the photodiode assembly to an energy storage device electrically coupled to the voltage converter. The light emitting diode and the photodiode may be configured to enable free space optical communication with the transmitter. The light emitting diode may emit signals indicating a presence and a location of the transceiver to the transmitter at least when the energy storage device requires a charge.

Disclosed herein are methods, devices, and systems for providing timing and bandwidth management of ultra-wideband, wireless data channels (including radio frequency and wireless optical data channels). According to one embodiment, a hub apparatus is disclosed for providing out-of-band bandwidth management for a free-space-optical (FSO) data channel associated with a first device. The hub apparatus includes a processor, a memory coupled with the processor, an FSO transmitter coupled with the processor, and an FSO receiver coupled with the processor. The FSO transmitter may be configured to transmit a control signal comprising timing information and bandwidth management information.

The present disclosure discloses a visible light communication apparatus, a lock device, and a visible light communication method. The visible light communication method includes: transmitting, by at least two transmitting devices, visible light carrying respective corresponding information; and sending, by a receiving device, an instruction for correct matching upon determining, according to received superposed visible light, that the superposed visible light meets a preset condition; where the corresponding information includes at least one of a frequency, luminance, and a color of the visible light transmitted by the transmitting devices and a relative position of the transmitting devices to the receiving device. The method can improve security of visible light communication.

The first communication device includes a light emitting unit configured to transmit an optical signal and a second switching control unit configured to establish a connection with the communication terminal that has received the optical signal. The communication terminal includes a light receiving unit configured to receive the optical signal transmitted by the first communication device and a first switching control unit configured to set the first communication device as a switching destination according to the optical signal. The master control device includes a third switching control unit configured to receive a switch request containing identification information of the communication terminal and transmit a connection instruction to the first switching control unit according to the switching request.
