POWER SUPPLY FOR DISTRIBUTED OPTICAL WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
This invention relates to a power supply system for an optical wireless communication system where a modem (212) is connected to a plurality of transceivers (11). The underlying idea being that the transceivers (11) are powering the modem (212), rather than the modem (212) powering the transceivers (11). To achieve this, a power combiner is provided that can receive power from the transceivers (11). The transceivers (11) power down when no endpoint is detected and use a subset of emitters, in which case the modem (212) can also be switched to a lower power mode.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF
An electronic apparatus is disclosed. The electronic apparatus includes: a communication interface comprising communication circuitry and a processor configured to: control the communication interface to transmit a signal of a first carrier frequency, and based on a signal generated as the signal of the first carrier frequency reflected by a space where the electronic apparatus is disposed not being received through the communication interface within a first threshold time after the signal of the first carrier frequency is transmitted, determine the first carrier frequency as a search carrier frequency; based on the reflected signal being received through the communication interface within the first threshold time after the signal of the first carrier frequency is transmitted, control the communication interface to transmit a signal of a second carrier frequency different from the first carrier frequency; control the communication interface to transmit a signal of the determined search carrier frequency; and identify whether an object is present based on whether a signal is received through the communication interface within a second threshold time after the signal of the search carrier frequency is transmitted.
Wireless network system, wireless device, and network registration method of the wireless device
A method of registering a wireless device located in premises in a wireless network which is constructed in the premises. The method includes receiving a light signal, which includes network identification information of the wireless network constructed in the premises from at least one illumination device installed in the premises, and registering the wireless device in the wireless network constructed in the premises, by using the network identification information of the wireless network included in the received light signal.
FREE SPACE OPTICAL COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
A lighting system comprises an excitor which drives at least one reactor. The reactor is an under-damped resonant circuit that includes a network of lighting elements in a reactive string and reactive components distributed among the lighting elements. These reactive components can regulate individual lighting elements. The lighting elements emit an AC luminous waveform which comprises a first phase and a second phase. Selected lighting elements can be modulated by a datastream. The modulated light moves through free-space to a receiving device.
LINK ESTABLISHMENT IN A MULTI-CELL WIRELESS NETWORK
In a multi-cell wireless communication system (100) with at least one optical access point (120) and at least one radio frequency access point (120), more flexibility is provided to an end device (110) in selecting an access point (120) for establishing a data link. Because of the line-of-sight characteristic of an optical link and the limited field of view of an optical receiver, optical cells are typically deployed with a relatively high density and adjacent optical cells may have an overlapping area. This invention discloses a method of an end device (110) for selecting a favorable access point (120) with reduced overhead, even when the end device is located in the overlapping area of two adjacent optical cells.
Enabling Rendering of User-Specific Information using a Display Device
It is provided a method for enabling rendering of user-specific information using a display device, the method being performed by a user device comprising a camera, the user device being separate from the display device. The method comprises the steps of: determining a selected display device and creating a logical association between the user device and the selected display device; capturing at least one image of the display device using the camera; decoding the at least one image, resulting in decoded content; and rendering the decoded content for a user of the user device in a location corresponding to the selected display device.
SMARTDUST CHIP
Disclosed is a SmartDust system for contactless digital controlled serialized analog processing of analog values received from an object. The SmartDust system includes a hub unit and at least one electronic circuitry capacitive coupled to the hub unit. The hub unit includes an oscillator for generating a frequency, and a first electrode connected to the oscillator to emit the frequency as an alternating electric field. The electronic circuitry stores and performs switching instructions and the digital logic operations. The electronic circuitry receives analog values and generate sampled and processed analog values. The electronic circuitry provides the processed values to external components. The hub unit includes a controller for providing the switching instructions and the digital logic operations to the electronic circuitry, and a modulator for modulating the alternating electric field with the switching instructions and the digital logic operations.
LED light control assembly and system
An LED light and communication system is in communication with a broadband over power line communications system. The LED light and communication system includes at least one optical transceiver light fixture. The optical transceiver light fixture includes a plurality of light emitting diodes, at least one photodetector, and a processor. A facility control unit is in communication with the light emitting diode light fixtures and a control server. The facility control unit is constructed and arranged to control the operation of the optical transceiver light fixtures.
REACQUIRING COMMUNICATION LINK BASED ON HISTORICAL DATA
The disclosure provides for a method for reacquiring a communication link between a first communication device and a second communication device. The method includes using one or more processors of the first communication device to receive historical data related to the first communication device and an environment surrounding the first communication device. The one or more processors are then used to determine one or more trends in the historical data related to fading of the communication link. Based on the one or more trends, the one or more processors are used to determine a starting time and an initial search direction for a search for the communication link. The one or more processors then execute the search at the starting time from the initial search direction.
Worker management device, worker management system, and workwear
