MILLIMETER WAVE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS FOR FIXED WIRELESS ACCESS
Qualification for fixed wireless access with millimeter waves can be qualified along a 2D outline or 3D face of a building. Qualification can depend on the window type, e.g., whether the window is low-e, single-paned, double-paned, and/or recessed. Qualification can also depend on the type of CPE to be installed on or near each window to provide the fixed wireless access within the premises. Eligible locations for repeaters can be identified, e.g., in comm zones for existing poles or on new poles to be installed in rights-of-way, and recommendations can be made for efficient installation of new repeaters to optimize wireless coverage.
Detection and mitigation of time of flight interference events
Methods and systems for detecting and mitigating the effects of time of flight interference of a radio frequency (RF) signal are provided. A wireless communication network may determine, based on one or more parameters being sufficiently different than a baseline value, that time of flight interference is occurring based on the undesirable propagation of a first cell's downlink signals into a second cell's coverage area. In response to the determination, the network may identify an offending base station and modify the RF transmission characteristics of the offending base station to prevent or mitigate the impact of the interference event on the RF signal's propagation.
POWER MEASUREMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM AND PROGRAM PRODUCT
A power measurement method and apparatus, and a storage medium and a program product are disclosed. The power measurement method may include: acquiring a signal power and a signal wavelength of a measurement signal transmitted by a base station under test; calculating an equivalent isotropic radiated power of the measurement signal according to the signal power and the signal wavelength; and calculating a total radiated power of a carrier signal of the base station under test according to the equivalent isotropic radiated power of the measurement signal, a preset target direction parameter and a preset power ratio factor.
QUASI CO-LOCATED SIGNALS OF DIFFERENT RADIO ACCESS TECHNOLOGIES
A reference signal measurement method includes: receiving, at a user equipment from a transmission/reception point, a quasi co-location indication that indicates that a first signal, from the transmission/reception point and corresponding to a first radio access technology, is quasi co-located with a second signal from the transmission/reception point and corresponding to a second radio access technology that is different from the first radio access technology; receiving, at the user equipment from the transmission/reception point, the first signal and the second signal; and measuring, at the user equipment, the first signal based on the quasi co-location indication indicating that the first signal is quasi co-located with the second signal.
Method and Apparatus for Parallel Processing Multi-Antenna Calibration
A method and system for parallel processing multi-antenna calibration by applying a Hadamard code on top of the network-affected Zadoff-Chu sequence, which allows simultaneous antennas to be AC injected. The Hadamard code that is applied on the parallel injecting multi-antennas converts the ZC sequence to P orthogonal ZC-Hadamard sequences that are decodable and separable from the captured combined sequence.
Antenna Configuration Operator Interface
An antenna installation assistant application provides one or more GUIs representing ports of a vehicle-mountable antenna, as well as one or more on-board modems and/or other network hardware. The assistant application may determine, and indicate to a user of the assistant application, whether ports of the antenna are connected to ports of the modem (or other hardware), and more specifically, whether each connection is correct for the hardware. The assistant application thus may guide an installer through installation of one or more antenna in a manner that is responsive to actions taken by the installer, including correct or incorrect wired connections between hardware for a vehicle-based communications network.
Access Point Localization Using Extended Reality Devices
A method for automatically detecting and identifying wireless access points (WAPs) utilizing a wireless electronic device associated with a user is presented. The method includes detecting, by one or more sensors of the wireless electronic device, a first object of a plurality of objects within an environment. The plurality of objects includes a plurality of wireless access points (WAPs). The method further includes determining a set of coordinate values associated with the first object based on an alignment of a coordinate system of the wireless electronic device and a predetermined coordinate system of the environment, estimating a depth value associated with the first object based at least in part on the set of coordinate values, and assigning a unique identifier to the first object based on the depth value and the set of coordinate values.
METHOD AND MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR CHARACTERIZING A RECONFIGURABLE INTELLIGENT SURFACE
The present disclosure generally relates to a method and a measurement system for characterizing a reconfigurable intelligent surface of a device under test. An incident signal is repeatedly transmitted onto the reconfigurable intelligent surface at an incident angle with respect to the reconfigurable intelligent surface by using a feed antenna. Reflected signals reflected by the reconfigurable intelligent surface are captured by using at least one probe antenna. The reflected signals are captured at different angles of reflection such that a three-dimensional reflection pattern is obtained. A reflected total radiated power for the reconfigurable intelligent surface is determined based on the three-dimensional reflection pattern by using a determination circuit.
PROFILING AND SIGNALING FOR CLUTTER DOPPLER CHARACTERISTICS IN RF SENSING
In some implementations, a configuring device may send, to a sensing node set comprising one or more sensing nodes communicatively coupled with a wireless network, a sensing configuration, wherein the sensing configuration is configured to enable the sensing node set to perform a radio frequency (RF) sensing procedure and obtain clutter Doppler measurement information of the geographical area based at least in part on the RF sensing procedure. The configuring device may receive, from the sensing node set the clutter Doppler measurement information. The configuring device may determine a profile of the clutter Doppler characteristics of the geographical area based at least in part on the clutter Doppler measurement information.
INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE
This application discloses an information transmission method and apparatus, and a communication device. The information transmission method in embodiments of this application includes: A first device measures a first signal to obtain a first result corresponding to each receiving unit. The receiving unit includes a receiving antenna or a receiving channel. The first signal includes at least one of a reference signal, a synchronization signal, a data signal, and a special signal. The first device sends a first message. The first message includes at least one first result satisfying a first condition or at least one second result satisfying a second condition. Each second result is obtained by performing target operation processing on first results corresponding to two receiving units. A target operation is a division operation or a conjugate multiplication operation.
