Wired, Wireless, Infrared and Powerline Audio Entertainment Systems
A method and system for communicating audio signals between an input device and an output device via a network. The output device can include loudspeakers and headphones. In some embodiments an output device, for example a center channel speaker, transmits audio signals to other output devices. In some embodiments, the output device is coupled to, or combined with, a speaker stand or speaker bracket. The network can be wireless, wired, infrared, RF, and powerline.
AUDIO MEDIA STREAMING DEVICE
According to an aspect, an apparatus may include a media streaming device including electronic circuitry configured to receive media content wirelessly from a media content source, and an audio output cord segment having a first end portion configured to be coupled to an audio input port of the media streaming device, and a second end portion configured to be coupled to an audio rendering device, where the electronic circuitry is further configured to transmit audio content through the audio output cord segment to the audio rendering device.
Powering a fixture from AC and DC sources
A system comprises a fixture and a controller that is configured to power the fixture from an alternating current (AC) source and a direct current (DC) source. The controller is configured to automatically switch from powering the fixture from the DC source to powering the fixture from the AC source in response to a time of day. Related systems, methods and computer program products are described.
Set-top-box having a built-in master node that provides an external interface for communication and control in a power-line-based residential communication system
A set-top-box (STB) provides capability for monitoring and control of power usage and the ability to establish communications. A smart residential service system (SRSS) is provided that uses power line communication (PLC) technology to provide secure in-home LAN communication and also to monitor and provide remote control of connected appliances in the home. An embodiment combines the STB with a master unit (MST) that is used with PLC to meet the requirements of the central device in the SRSS.
Power supply architectures for powered devices
The single removable cable is capable of transporting both the power and the data between a powering device and one or more powered devices. At least one signal line is configured to transport data over the single removable cable. At least one electrical conductor configured to transport power for operating the one or more powered devices.
