INTEGRATED DOWNHOLE SYSTEM WITH PLURAL TELEMETRY SUBSYSTEMS
A downhole system has a plurality of telemetry systems and a control system configured to obtain information from one or more sensors and transmit that information on one or more of the plurality of telemetry systems. The configuration of a controller may be changed so as to change which information is transmitted on a given telemetry system and how the information is to be transmitted on the given telemetry system.
Fixture data over powerline network
This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for fixture data over a powerline network. In one aspect, fixture interfaces can receive control data on a powerline network and provide the control data to a fixture on a fixture network.

Contactless LED lighting fixture and LED lighting network including contactless LED lighting fixture
A lighting network includes a lighting network base station and one or more contactless lighting network components. The lighting network base station includes: a radio frequency (RF) amplifier which supplies an RF power signal to a lighting network line pair; and a first power line communication coupler which couples the lighting network line pair to a first power line communication device. The contactless lighting network component extracts electrical power from the RF power signal on the lighting network line pair, and couples the lighting network line pair to a second power line communication device. The first and second power line communication devices communicate network data via the lighting network line pair. The contactless lighting network component may include a lighting fixture (e.g., including one or more LED light sources), a sensor, and/or a lighting network interface adaptor.
INTELLIGENT MODULES FOR INTELLIGENT NETWORKS
A system comprising: a host device comprising at least, an electrical interface configured for connection to a powerline; a first releasable interface; a powerline communication module for transmitting and receiving information over the powerline; an intelligent module comprising at least, a second releasable interface interconnected to the first releasable interface; a digital processor; memory operatively connected to the processor and configured with instructions for causing the processor to receive and transmit information over the powerline through the powerline communication module.
Power line communication monitor
Various embodiments include a monitor terminal in a data center communicating with an access node in the data center via power line communication (PLC) protocol. The monitor terminal can track and manage power quality at a specific location in the data center. The monitor terminal can couple to a power line. The monitor terminal can power a measurement component and a PLC modem by electrical signals of the power line. The measurement component can measure a physical quantity of the electrical signals across the power line. The PLC modem can communicate a measurement message, indicating the measured physical quantity, across the power line to the access node.
Monitoring and mitigating conditions in a communication network
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system for receiving telemetry information from an apparatus that induces electromagnetic waves on a wire surface of a wire of a power grid for delivery of communication signals to a recipient communication device coupled to the power grid, and detecting a condition from the telemetry information that is adverse to a delivery of the communication signals to the recipient communication device. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Power line communication over disconnected service lines
A network communication device, such as an electricity meter, is configured to communicate with devices on a circuit internal to a site via power line communication (PLC), even when electricity service to the site is disconnected. The network communication device is configured to monitor one or more circuits internal to the site and to receive power line communications from the device(s) coupled to the circuit internal to the site when the site is disconnected from electricity service. A PLC module of the network communication device may include a switch-based or capacitor-based monitor that maintains a PLC coupler electrically connected with the circuit internal to the site even when electricity service to the site is disconnected.
System and method for detecting an arc fault in a power line signal including a communication signal modulated on an AC power signal
An embodiment method of detecting an arc fault includes communicating a power line signal, including a communication signal modulated on an alternating current power signal, over a power line. The communication signal is communicated according to a power line network protocol. A power spectrum of the communication signal includes a first frequency band and a second frequency band different from the first frequency band. In accordance with the power line network protocol, a power of the communication signal in the first frequency band is attenuated in comparison to the power of the communication signal in the second frequency band. The method further includes performing arc fault detection on the spectral portions of the power line signal that are within the first frequency band.
