Receive path quality information
A method and apparatus are provided. The apparatus comprises an input for receiving a plurality of data streams carrying misaligned common content. The apparatus further comprises a plurality of buffers configured to delay one or more of the data streams to align the common content, each buffer for storing data blocks of a respective one of the plurality of data streams. The apparatus comprises an output for selecting a data block from the plurality of buffers to form a next data block in an output packet stream comprising the common content. Each data block is stored in a respective buffer along with quality information corresponding to said data block and selecting a data block from the plurality of buffers is carried out in dependence on the quality information.

Digital broadcast receiver
When the reception level of a main tuner (3) is equal to or lower than a first threshold or the reception level of a sub tuner (4) is equal to or lower than a second threshold while the sub tuner (4) performs data service reception, a sub tuner processing control unit (90), a broadcast program search control unit (91), and a data service control unit (93) cause the sub tuner (4) to suspend the running data service reception and start a broadcast program search. Then, while the reception level of the main tuner (3) is equal to or lower than the first threshold or the reception level of the sub tuner (4) is equal to or lower than the second threshold, the sub tuner processing control unit (90) and the broadcast program search control unit (91) cause the sub tuner (4) to repeatedly and continuously perform a broadcast program search.

Generating personalized audio content based on mood
In one embodiment, a personalization application provides emotionally personalized audio content to co-located users. In operation, the personalization application acquires first personalized audio content for a first user based on an emotional state associated with the first user. The personalization application then causes a first audio device associated with the first user to output the first audio content. In addition, the personalization application causes a second audio device associated with a second user that is co-located with the first user to output second audio content while the first audio devices outputs the first audio content. Notably, the second audio content is different from the first audio content.

Streaming radio with personalized content integration
In various embodiments, an audio streaming service may provide a plurality of channels. On a particular channel, different types of content can be streamed to audio devices connected to that channel, including channel content, group content, and individual content. Channel content refers to same content that is streamed to all of the audio devices that are connected to the channel. Group channel refers to content that is selected for subgroups of the devices, and individual content refers to content that is selected for an individual device. Channel content may be transmitted to all the devices, then a period of group or individual content is provided, and then the devices are synced back into receiving the same channel content during a syncing window. Listeners can also interact with the content, such as skipping songs or adding songs to their personal collection.
