A processor of a broadcasting selects an encoding method for a first broadcast based on a first broadcast characteristic, wherein the encoding method is a default encoding method when the first broadcast characteristic is not recognized by the system, and transmits the first broadcast, encoded using the encoding method, to a playback device. The processor further uses a feedback control loop to dynamically adjust parameters of the encoding method to optimize a metric related to quality and a bitrate of the encoded first broadcast. The processor transmits a second broadcast encoded using the encoding method having the adjusted parameters to the playback device.

A processor of a broadcasting selects an encoding method for a first broadcast based on a first broadcast characteristic, wherein the encoding method is a default encoding method when the first broadcast characteristic is not recognized by the system, and transmits the first broadcast, encoded using the encoding method, to a playback device. The processor transmits a second broadcast encoded using the encoding method having the adjusted parameters to the playback device.

A user device and method comprising a satellite signal determination module receiving a satellite signal from a satellite comprising a first satellite signal identifier, a memory storing an expected satellite signal identifier for an authorized location of the user device, a comparison module comparing the first satellite signal identifier to the expected satellite signal identifier to identify the first satellite signal as unexpected when the first satellite signal is not the expected satellite signal and a disable module disabling the user device from processing satellite signals in response to comparing.

A user device and method comprising a satellite signal determination module receiving a satellite signal from a satellite comprising a first satellite signal identifier, a memory storing an expected satellite signal identifier for an authorized location of the user device, a comparison module comparing the first satellite signal identifier to the expected satellite signal identifier to identify the first satellite signal as unexpected when the first satellite signal is not the expected satellite signal and a disable module disabling the user device from processing satellite signals in response to comparing.

A mobile terminal having an integrated radio function according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an antenna configured to receive a digital radio signal, a radio connection module configured to support connection and communication with an analog radio, a display configured to play at least one of an audio signal, an image signal, and additional information, and a radio application configured to restore the audio signal, the image signal, and the additional information by decoding the digital radio signal and then play the audio signal, the image signal, and the additional information through the display, and transmit the audio signal to the analog radio when the analog radio is connected.

A mobile terminal having an integrated radio function according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an antenna configured to receive a digital radio signal, a radio connection module configured to support connection and communication with an analog radio, a display configured to play at least one of an audio signal, an image signal, and additional information, and a radio application configured to restore the audio signal, the image signal, and the additional information by decoding the digital radio signal and then play the audio signal, the image signal, and the additional information through the display, and transmit the audio signal to the analog radio when the analog radio is connected.
