TRIGGERING MECHANISM FOR REMOTE INTERFERENCE MANAGEMENT
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may determine that at least one condition, of a plurality of conditions, is satisfied with regard to at least one other base station; and perform at least one remote interference management (RIM) operation, the at least one RIM operation selected based at least in part on the at least one condition. In some aspects, a base station may receive an indication regarding interference, the indication regarding interference indicating that at least one condition, of a plurality of conditions, is satisfied with regard to the base station or at least one other base station; and perform at least one RIM operation, the at least one RIM operation selected based at least in part on the at least one condition or the indication regarding interference. Numerous other aspects are provided.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJACENT CHANNEL INTERFERENCE MITIGATION
Systems and methods for mitigation of cross channel interference are disclosed in which the TDD configuration of a potential cross channel interference source is detected by received signals within the network with which the source interferes. The TDD configuration is then used to synchronize the transmissions from the network with which the source interferes to reduce the interference. In addition, interference is mitigated by providing adaptive guard bands based on results of a radio frequency environmental survey and/or coaxing an interfering user to another channel. Sub-channels can be assigned based on the results of the radio frequency environmental survey and Quality of Service requirements for traffic flows.
REMOTE INTERFERENCE MANAGEMENT REFERENCE SIGNAL
Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for remote interference management (RIM) in wireless networks, including RIM reference signals (RIM-RS) transmitted to assist victim radio access network (RAN) nodes to identify aggressor RAN nodes due to, for example, atmospheric ducting. The RIM-RS is also flexibly configured. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR INTERFERENCE MANAGEMENT IN A QUASI-LICENSED WIRELESS SYSTEM
Apparatus and methods for providing interference management and load balancing in a wireless network. In one embodiment, the method and apparatus utilize quasi-licensed CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) wireless spectrum in conjunction with enhanced SAS (Spectrum Access System) and base station (e.g., CBSD) components to enable creation and management of virtual clusters of bases stations connected to the network, so as to enable inter-cluster interference mitigation, while also supporting load balancing between the base stations using coverage area overlap. In one implementation, the SAS reduces the coverage area (transmit power) of one or more base stations on a cluster edge to mitigate inter-cluster interference, and increases or adjusts the coverage of one or more base stations inside of the cluster to enable load balancing.
RADIO JAMMING DETECTION
There is provided a method for a first network element of a wireless communication network, the method comprising: obtaining blanked subcarrier index data indicating one or more blanked subcarriers in a time-frequency resource grid; initiating reception of a transmission from a second network element of the wireless communication network on said time-frequency resource grid; causing performing an interference measurement on said one or more blanked subcarriers to obtain interference measurement data on said one or more blanked subcarriers; and outputting the interference measurement data for detecting a presence of radio jamming.
Techniques to reduce base station to base station interference in semi-synchronous time division duplex operations
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for interference mitigation. An exemplary method performed by a base station generally includes determining, based on a location of another base station and information regarding the other base station, that the other base station is likely to experience interference while receiving an uplink transmission due to a downlink transmission by the base station and forming a null in a beam of the downlink transmission in a direction matching the location of the other base station.
CORRELATING NETWORK & PHYSICAL LAYER ACTIVITIES
A system that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may perform operations including, for example, a method of identifying, by a system comprising a processor, network communication degradation in one or more layers of a multi-layered communication protocol above a physical layer, wherein the network communication degradation is associated with communications taking place through a network, in part over a radio frequency link, between a plurality of communication devices, obtaining, by the system, data from a layer below the one or more layers of the multi-layered communication protocol identified as having the network communication degradation, determining, by the system, one or more geographic regions of the network associated with the network communication degradation from the data, and mitigating, by the system, effects of the network communication degradation in the one or more geographic regions of the network. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Signaling in a Wireless Network
Methods, apparatus, and systems for wireless communications utilizing a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) based on first signals received from a first node and based on second signals received from a second node are described. A wireless device may receive measurement information that indicates resources of a first node and a second node for use in determining the PMI. After receiving the first signals and the second signals, the wireless device may use the first signals and the second signals to determine the PMI. The determined PMI may be sent to a base station, which may transmit one or more packets based on the determined PMI.
Method and apparatus for increasing performance of communication paths for communication nodes
A system that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may perform operations including, for example, obtaining uplink information associated with a plurality of communication devices transmitting wireless signals on a plurality of uplink paths, performing, based on the uplink information, a plurality of measurements of the plurality of uplink paths, identifying a measurement from the plurality of measurements that is below a threshold, and initiating a corrective action to improve a measurement of an affected uplink path of the plurality of uplink paths based on the identifying. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Interference management in wireless systems
Techniques for interference mitigation in a wireless communication system are disclosed. One example method includes receiving, at a first communication node, interference status information indicative of a remote interference between the first communication node and a second communication node and performing, by the first communication node, subsequent communications to the second communication node by implementing a backoff based on a granularity.
