CDMA BASED RESERVATION CHANNEL TRANSMISSION IN V2V COMMUNICATIONS
20210345183 · 2021-11-04 ·

The examples set forth herein describe methods, devices, and systems in which a wireless communication device that is a node of a vehicle ad-hoc network (VANET) spreads a reservation channel message with a spreading code, according to a codedivision multiple access (CDMA) scheme. The wireless communication device transmits a reservation channel transmission to at least one other wireless communication device, which is another node of the VANET, via time-frequency resources selected from a reservation channel resource pool. The reservation channel transmission contains the spread reservation channel message. In some examples, multiple reservation channel messages may be included in a single reservation channel transmission. In these examples, each reservation channel message is spread with a different orthogonal code before combining the reservation channel messages and spreading the combined reservation channel messages with a spreading code, according to a CDMA scheme.

A method and system for concurrent transmission of (i) a first bit sequence from a first access node to a UE and (ii) a second bit sequence from a second access node to the UE, when the first access node serves the UE on a first carrier according to a first radio access technology (RAT), the second access node serves the UE on a second carrier according to a second RAT, and the first and second carriers overlap in frequency. Per the disclosure, the access nodes could orthogonally encode their respective bit sequences and could concurrently transmit the resulting encoded bit sequences to the UE on the same frequency as each other.

Terminal station apparatus, base station apparatus, transmission method and control method

A terminal apparatus includes circuitry and a transmitter. The circuitry, in operation, generates a reference signal using a cyclic shift value and an orthogonal sequence, which are associated with each other. The orthogonal sequence is one of two orthogonal sequences corresponding to a first orthogonal sequence [1, 1] and a second orthogonal sequence [1, −1]. The cyclic shift value is one of 12 cyclic shift values ranging from 0 to 11. The transmitter, in operation, transmits the reference signal multiplexed with a data signal. Two of the cyclic shift values having a difference of 6 are respectively associated with the two orthogonal sequences.

The first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a first uplink control channel signal including a first reference signal and a first uplink control information signal in a frequency spectrum based on the uplink control channel multiplex configuration. The first reference signal is based on the first frequency spreading sequence and the first uplink control information signal is based on at least one of the second frequency spreading sequence or the first spatial direction.

Apparatuses, systems and methods are disclosed for wireless communication. A base station may communicate with a plurality of user equipments (UEs) without allocating spectral resources to the UEs for communicating scheduling requests. The base station may detect a scheduling request from a requesting UE of the plurality of UEs. The scheduling request may include a spread spectrum signal based on a spreading sequence. The scheduling request may indicate an identity for a requesting UE without indicating information other than the identity. The base station may grant spectral resources to the requesting UE in response to detecting a scheduling request.

Methods, apparatus, and systems for efficiently utilizing scattered narrow spectra without introducing interference among adjacent frequency bands are described. In one example aspect, a wireless communication method includes determining a set of time-domain symbols by applying an inverse Fourier transform to a set of processed data modulated on multiple subcarrier groups. Each subcarrier group comprises an even number of subcarriers and adjacent subcarrier groups are separated by one or more unused subcarriers. The set of processed data is determined by applying a first spreading code to data carried in subcarrier groups having 2×m subcarriers when m is a positive odd number and applying one or more spreading codes to data carried in subcarrier groups having 2×n subcarriers when n is a positive even number. The method also includes transmitting the set of time-domain symbols.

MULTI-BIT PAYLOAD TRANSMISSION WITH ORTHOGONAL SEQUENCES

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an uplink payload in a wireless communications system. The UE may identify a set of sequences configured for conveying a payload including a set of bits, where each sequence of the set of sequences is orthogonal to each other sequence of the set of sequences. The UE may select a first sequence from the set of sequences based on a mapping between the set of sequences and payload values corresponding to the set of bits. The UE may transmit the payload including the set of bits using the first sequence.

Data decoding apparatus and method

A data decoder includes a communication unit receiving a bit signal with encoded data; a first operation unit that bit shifts the bit signal by a first length, corresponding to a length of a spreading code used to encode the data, to generate a first operation stream; a second operation unit generating a second operation stream without the spreading code; a third operation unit that bit shifts the second operation stream by a second length to generate a third operation stream; a fourth operation unit generating a fourth operation stream from which the data is removed using the second operation stream and the third operation stream; and a polynomial generator that decodes the encoded data using the fourth operation stream.
