11575555 · 2023-02-07 · ·

A transmitter in a wireless communication network comprises a Carrier Interferometry (CI) coder and a multicarrier modulator communicatively coupled to the CI coder. The CI coder encodes a plurality of data symbols with a plurality of CI codes to produce a plurality of CI symbol values, wherein each of the plurality of CI symbol values equals a sum of information-modulated CI code chips. Each information-modulated CI code chip equals a CI code chip multiplied by one of the plurality of data symbols. The modulator modulates each CI symbol value onto a different subcarrier frequency to produce a multicarrier signal.

RADIO COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND RESPONSE SIGNAL SPREADING METHOD
20230085207 · 2023-03-16 ·

A radio communication device capable of randomizing both inter-cell interference and intra-cell interference. In this device, a spreading section primarily spreads a response signal in a ZAC sequence set by a control unit. A spreading section secondarily spreads the primarily spread response signal in a block-wise spreading code sequence set by the control unit. The control unit controls the cyclic shift amount of the ZAC sequence used for the primary spreading in the spreading section and the block-wise spreading code sequence used for the secondary spreading in the spreading section according to a set hopping pattern. The hopping pattern set by the control unit is made up of two hierarchies. An LB-based hopping pattern different for each cell is defined in the first hierarchy in order to randomize the inter-cell interference. A hopping pattern different for each mobile station is defined in the second hierarchy to randomize the intra-cell interference.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING SIGNAL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20230083499 · 2023-03-16 ·

A method and a device for transmitting/receiving a signal in a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, comprise the steps of: determining a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource for transmitting the PUCCH; and transmitting the PUCCH through the PUCCH resource. The PUCCH resource is determined to be one of 16 PUCCH resources in a PUCCH resource set. The PUCCH resource set is a PUCCH resource set for a state in which there is no dedicated PUCCH resource configuration in a terminal. The number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) of the PUCCH resource can be determined on the basis of a received system information block (SIB).

Electronic Devices Having Quadratic Phase Generation Circuitry

An electronic device may include wireless circuitry. The wireless circuitry may include a quadratic phase generator for outputting a perfectly interpolated constant amplitude zero autocorrelation (CAZAC) sequence for a transmit path. The quadratic phase generator may include a numerically controlled oscillator, a switch controlled based on a value output from the numerically controlled oscillator, a first integrator stage, and a second integrator stage connected in series with the first integrator stage. The numerically controlled oscillator may receive as inputs a chirp count and a word length. The switch may be configured to switchably feed one of two input values that are a function of the chirp count and the word length to the first integrator stage. The quadratic phase generator may output full-bandwidth chirps or reduced-bandwidth chirps. Bandwidth reduction can be achieved by scaling the two input values of the switches.
