COOPERATIVE MONITORING NETWORKS
An electronic monitoring system is described that receives data from a particular monitoring system, receives data from multiple other monitoring systems, analyzes data received from the particular monitoring system irrespective of data received from the multiple other monitoring systems, based on the analysis, determines whether one or more events occur at the particular environment, and in response to determining that a particular event occurs at the particular environment, evaluates the particular event against a set of rules, selects, based on the evaluation results, a particular subset of the multiple other monitoring systems to serve as a cooperative monitoring network, assesses data received from the particular subset of the multiple other monitoring systems, based on the assessment, tracks, in connection with the particular event, events detected by the particular subset of the multiple other monitoring systems, and handles the particular event based on the tracked events.
RF jamming mitigation system and method
A jamming detection system for a vehicle may include an antenna configured to receive a radio frequency (RF) wave defining a series of RF pulse and quiet phase durations. The system may include a processor programmed to lock the vehicle in response to one but not both of the durations exceeding a predetermined threshold. The processor may also be programmed to arm an alarm of the vehicle in response to both of the durations exceeding respective predetermined thresholds.
Methods and apparatuses for relaying data in wireless networks
A hybrid cellular and non-cellular multi-hop communication device, including a hand-held wireless device having one or more antennas, a cellular wireless interface connected to at least some of the one or more antennas, and a non-cellular wireless interface connected to at least some of the one or more antennas. The non-cellular wireless interface may include a rate allocator configured to select a physical-layer rate of transmission of data from the non-cellular wireless interface based on a queue length of data to be transmitted from the hand-held cellular device and a transmitter configured to wirelessly transmit data from the queue and adjust physical-layer transmission parameters based on a physical-layer rate selected by the rate allocator.

JAMMING DETECTION FOR VEHICLES
In an exemplary embodiment, a method for detecting a jamming event for a vehicle is provided, the method including transmitting a plurality of null packets via intra-vehicle communications from a first short range wireless communications system of the vehicle to a second short range wireless communications system of the vehicle; monitoring, via a processor of the vehicle using sensor data from one or more sensors of the vehicle, which of the null packets that are transmitted by the first short range wireless communications system are actually received by the second short range wireless communications system; determining, via the processor, a frequency with which the null packets submitted from the first short range wireless communications system are actually received by the second short range wireless communications system; and determining, via the processor, whether a jamming event has occurred for the vehicle, based on the frequency.
