Method and apparatus for symbol measurement and combining

A method and system of symbol measurement and combining (SMaC) provides near-optimal performance for each user independently by relying on rapid digital beamforming with near-ideal convergence properties. This approach is also provides near-ideal performance without any knowledge of user/jammer location and adapts instantly as those locations change. An iterative joint estimation method is used to determine a covariance matrix R.sub.XX, and a user beamsteering vector, α.

Techniques for mitigating cross device co-existence interference

The disclosure provides techniques for reducing interference caused by a first device to a second device receiving a satellite-based positioning signal. A device such as a user equipment (UE) or base station (eNB) determines a threshold transmission power for a transmission frequency of the device. The device also determines a signal strength of the satellite-based positioning system signal at the device. The device then controls a transmission property of the device based on the signal strength of the satellite-based positioning system signal when a transmission power of the device at the transmission frequency satisfies the threshold. The device may also determine that reception of the satellite-based positioning system signal by the second device is likely to be affected by a transmission from the device at a transmission power that satisfies the threshold and control the transmission property when reception of the satellite-based positioning system signal is likely to be affected.

BLOCKING JAMMING SIGNALS INTENDED TO DISRUPT COMMUNICATIONS

Jamming systems uses wireless signals (e.g., radio waves) to deliberately prevent a target from accurately receiving desired wireless signals. The examples herein disclose an anti-jamming system that mitigates an effect that jamming signals have on a radio receiver. To do so, the anti-jamming system generates a plasma shield in a region of space between the target and the jamming system. Plasma is opaque to electromagnetic energy meaning that radio signals, lasers, microwave energy, and the like are unable to pass through the plasma, and instead, are absorbed by the plasma. As such, the jamming signals emitted by the jamming system are absorbed by the plasma shield and do not interfere with the target's radio receiver.

CHANNEL SELECTION FOR DYNAMIC-FREQUENCY-SELECTION CHANNELS USING PUNCTURING

An access point in a wireless network communicates wirelessly with one or more client devices over a channel that includes a plurality of subchannels. Radar is detected on a first subchannel of the plurality of subchannels. It is determined to puncture the first subchannel, based on the detecting the radar on the first subchannel and based on one or more puncturing factors. The first subchannel is punctured, the puncturing comprising muting one or more subcarriers on the first subchannel.

A control method, a control apparatus and a device for preventing pseudo GNSS signal interference, and a storage medium are provided. The method includes: in response to detecting that a received GNSS signal includes a pseudo GNSS signal, restraining a time service system of a communication device from tracking the received GNSS signal; and removing the restraining on the time service system in response to detecting that the pseudo GNSS signal disappears.

Mitigation of Spoofer Satellite Signals

A technology is described for mitigating global positioning system (GPS) spoofer signals. A potentially spoofed GPS signal received via an antenna coupled to a GPS receiver can be identified. The potentially spoofed GPS signal can be applied to a spoofer signal nulling loop to generate a set of spoofer nulling weights. The set of spoofer nulling weights can produce a direction vector associated with the potentially spoofed GPS signal. The direction vector can be compared to a beamsteering vector. The potentially spoofed GPS signal can be determined as being a spoofer GPS signal when a misalignment between the direction vector and the beamsteering vector is above a defined threshold. The spoofer GPS signal can be converted to a spoofer mitigation signal that is applied to satellite track channels of the GPS receiver. The spoofer mitigation signal can produce a spatial null in a direction of the spoofer GPS signal.

GPS spoofing detection techniques

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for detecting spoofing of a navigation device. A plurality of anti-spoofing techniques are provided. The plurality of anti-spoofing techniques detect interference with data provided by one or more navigation devices for a plurality of threat situations. Positioning, timing and frequency characteristics associated with the one or more navigation devices are analyzed in order to identify a threat situation among the plurality of threat situations. Based on the identified threat situation one or more of the anti-spoofing techniques are executed. The one or more anti-spoofing techniques can be executed in parallel in order to provide various anti-spoofing detection techniques at the same time.

In general, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for identifying data that is designated for wireless transmission to a remote computing device. A digital signal that encodes the data for transmission across a band of radio frequency channels is generated. Multiple radio frequency channels in the band that are available are determined. The digital signal is filtered to substantially reduce a power level of the digital signal at frequencies that correspond to channels in the band that have not been determined to be available. The filtered digital signal is converted to an analog signal. The analog signal is provided to an analog transmitter that isolates the band of channels to generate an isolated analog signal and that wirelessly transmits the isolated analog signal over the multiple available channels using one or more antennas.
