PROTECTING TRANSMISSIONS AGAINST JAMMING

This document discloses a solution for performing anti-jamming procedures. According to an aspect, a method for a terminal device comprises: receiving a first reference signal allocation from an access node, wherein the first reference signal is unique to the terminal device in a cell managed by the access node; receiving a second reference signal allocation from the access node, wherein the second reference signal is shared with at least one other terminal device in the cell; causing transmission of payload data together with the first reference signal according to a regular transmission pattern; and breaking the regular transmission pattern by transmitting dummy data together with the second reference signal in a time-frequency resource shared with the at least one other terminal device.

Radio jamming detection

There is provided a method for a first network element of a wireless communication network, the method comprising: obtaining blanked subcarrier index data indicating one or more blanked subcarriers in a time-frequency resource grid; initiating reception of a transmission from a second network element of the wireless communication network on said time-frequency resource grid; causing performing an interference measurement on said one or more blanked subcarriers to obtain interference measurement data on said one or more blanked subcarriers; and outputting the interference measurement data for detecting a presence of radio jamming.

Jamming mitigation in CBRS network

Various embodiments comprise systems, methods, architectures, mechanisms and apparatus for managing service provider network nodes in a converged network by inserting mobile network UE information into WiFi network communications such that a WiFi control entity may, in response to determining that the UE-inserted information is indicative of a jamming condition at a Citizens Broadband Radio Service Devices (CBSDs) providing mobile network services to the UE, communicate the identification of such UE to various provider equipment such that CBSDs experiencing jamming signals may be identified and mitigation steps taken.

Detecting network jamming

A method in a wireless device comprises monitoring one or more aspects of signaling with a network for abnormal signals indicative of network jamming. The method comprises detecting, based on the monitored one or more aspects of signaling with the network, one or more abnormal signals indicative of network jamming.

Channel selection for dynamic-frequency-selection channels using puncturing

An access point in a wireless network communicates wirelessly with one or more client devices over a channel that includes a plurality of subchannels. Radar is detected on a first subchannel of the plurality of subchannels. It is determined to puncture the first subchannel, based on the detecting the radar on the first subchannel and based on one or more puncturing factors. The first subchannel is punctured, the puncturing comprising muting one or more subcarriers on the first subchannel.

Discriminating and mitigating SNS spoofing signals

A system and method for discriminating and mitigating spoofing signals incoming to a satellite navigation system. Beam steering techniques are used to steer a null toward a legitimate satellite signal that is being spoofed. The spoofing signal is then tracked and its angle of arrival measured. A null is steered toward the measured angle of arrival of the spoofing signal, and the spoofing signal is confirmed by determining if there is a signal remaining with nulls on both the legitimate satellite signal and the spoofing signal. The null toward the legitimate satellite signal is then replaced with unity gain.

METHOD FOR SECURING A COMMUNICATION USER EQUIPMENT FROM A JAMMING ATTACK

A method for a user equipment operating in a cellular network having a plurality of base stations, the user equipment operating on at least one of the base stations, hereinafter the serving base station, for the case of a communication loss to its serving base station, whereby the conditions relating to the serving base station or the corresponding frequency fulfills the criteria concerning jamming. The method includes the steps of: scanning for accessible base stations of the cellular network, examining the at least one base station being identified through the scanning step, by means of signalling message, evaluating the response behavior of the at least one base station, wherein in consideration of the response behavior of at least one of said base station if said base station is rated as suspicious: indicating a jamming situation, otherwise camping on at least one of the base stations.

Adaptive channel access

A device in an adaptive channel access system may include a processor that is configured initiate access of a channel, and perform a first jammer detection on the channel. The processor is configured to, when a jamming device is detected on the channel, access the channel with a channel occupancy time set to a first duration of time. The processor is configured to, when no jamming devices are detected: access the channel with the channel occupancy time set to the second duration of time that is greater than the first duration, while accessing the channel with the channel occupancy time set to the second duration of time, perform a second jammer detection on the channel, and when the jamming device is detected, cease to access the channel prior to the expiration of the second duration of time, otherwise continue to access the channel without re-initiating access of the channel.
