Apparatus for determining a coding rate

Provided is a communication device, which is enabled to improve the throughput of a communication system by reducing the difference of a transmission power between an SCCH and an SDCH thereby to satisfy the required quality of a PAPR. In this device, an MCS selection unit (111) of a transmission unit (110) decides, with reference to a CQI lookup table, an MCS pattern (MCS1) of the SDCH, an MCS pattern (MCS2) of the SCCH and information (multiplex information) on multiplex positions on the time axes of those two channels, on the basis of the CQI information. On the basis of the MCS2 and the MCS1, encoding modulation units (112 and 113) perform encoding and modulating operations. According to the multiplex information, a channel multiplexing unit (114) time-division multiplexes the SCCH and the SDCH thereby to generate a transmission signal.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a communications method and a communications device, so that multiple service signals can be borne in a same bearing area of a same Ethernet PCS lane. Therefore, it is implemented that multiple types of service signals share an Ethernet channel, so that the multiple types of service signals can share a link resource and an interface module resource. This provides a basis for convergence and integration of devices in a multi-technology system, and can improve utilization of link resources and reduce a quantity, a footprint, power consumption, maintenance costs, and the like of devices in a metropolitan area network.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UPLINK TRANSMISSION CONTROL

A method and an apparatus for uplink transmission control are disclosed. According to an embodiment, a base station determines a channel metric for indicating uplink channel condition between the base station and a terminal device. The base station determines an uplink transmission format that is to be used for an initial transmission from the terminal device, based on the channel metric such that a spectrum efficiency for the initial transmission can be maximized.

Synchronization signal for a broadcast channel

An apparatus are provided for wireless communication at a base station with improved PBCH construction and decoding. The base station apparatus constructs a PBCH payload, wherein a bit location is selected for encoding a plurality of bits of the PBCH based on an estimated reliability for the corresponding bits location wherein the plurality of bits comprises frozen bits, unknown bits that are unknown to a user equipment, and potentially known bits that are potentially known by the user equipment. The apparatus transmits the PBCH payload in at least one of a plurality of SS blocks. A UE receiving the PBCH decodes the PBCH based on a successive decoding order. The successive decoding order may be based on an estimated reliability for the corresponding bits, e.g., in which potentially known bits are decoded prior to unknown bits.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify combinations of modulation and coding schemes and resource block allocations that are associated with non-self-decodable codes. The UE may select a combination of a modulation and coding scheme and a resource block allocation based at least in part on the combinations of modulation and coding schemes and resource block allocations that are associated with non-self-decodable codes. The UE may transmit data over the physical channel in a communication generated using the selected combination of the modulation and coding scheme and the resource block allocation.

Anti-eavesdropping method for IoV based on intermittent cooperative jamming

Disclosed is an anti-eavesdropping method for the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) based on intermittent cooperative jamming. The method comprises: on the premise of effectively preventing an illegitimate user V.sub.e from information eavesdropping, first establishing optimization problems for the purpose of minimizing an energy consumption of a cooperative jamming user V.sub.j; analyzing unique communication characteristics of the IoV based on the Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE) protocol, to obtain time structures of physical-layer data packets in the IoV and physical-layer data packet duration; and calculating the shortest physical-layer data packet duration in the IoV; then solving an optimal cooperative jamming scheme for any available power range for the cooperative jamming user V.sub.j; and finally, conducting, by the cooperative jamming user V.sub.j, periodic repetition according to the solved optimal cooperative jamming schemes in a period of data transmission between legitimate users, until transmission between the legitimate users ends.

TECHNIQUES FOR INCREASING THE RELIABILITY IN IEEE 802.11

Methods and apparatuses are described herein for increasing reliability in IEEE 802.11 networks. A first station (STA) may generate a set of configurations that meets reliability requirements of a traffic flow associated with a frame. Each of the set of configurations may comprise a number of replications of the frame, a channel bandwidth, and a modulation and coding scheme (MCS). The first STA may transmit, to a second STA, a plurality of request to send (RTS) frames over a plurality of channels The first STA may receive, from the second STA, a plurality of clear to send (CTS) frames indicating whether the plurality of channels are available. The first STA may then select, based on the number of available channels, a first configuration from the set of configurations. The first STA may transmit, based on the first configuration, a plurality of copies of the frame simultaneously over the available channels.

A first communication device transmits a first physical layer protocol data units (PPDU) that includes a first null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame as part of a first ranging measurement exchange. The first communication device transmits a first null data packet (NDP) as part of the first ranging measurement exchange, and records a transmit time of the first NDP. The first communication device determines whether a second NDP was received correctly from a second communication device as part of the first ranging measurement exchange. In response to determining that the second NDP was not received correctly, the first communication device commences a second ranging measurement exchange, including transmitting a second PPDU that includes a second NDPA frame as part of the second ranging measurement exchange.
