Security systems implementing communication with remote user devices

Adjusting communication channels used by camera to communicate with a base station are described. In one aspect, characteristics of communication channels can be determined and the operation of the camera can be adjusted to use a communication channel based on a comparison of the characteristics of multiple communication channels.

Communication Method And Apparatus

This application provides communication methods and apparatuses. One method comprises: obtaining, by a central unit-user plane node (CU-UP), first information that instructs the CU-UP to map a first data packet to a data radio bearer (DRB) and set a reflective mapping indication field of the first data packet, wherein the first data packet belongs to a quality of service (QoS) flow, and the reflective mapping indication field instructs a terminal device to map an uplink data packet in the QoS flow to the DRB; receiving, by the CU-UP, the first data packet sent by a core network device; setting, by the CU-UP, the reflective mapping indication field of the first data packet; and sending, by the CU-UP to the terminal device on the DRB, the first data packet.

Chain broadcasting in vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications

The subject matter described herein is directed towards a technology that increases the reliability of transmitting information, and extends the coverage of a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) network by propagating received information in a multiple-stage chain communication in a wireless communication system. A transmitting device transmits a communication message with repetition data indicating number of times the communication message is to be retransmitted in the wireless communication system. A receiving device determines from the repetition data that the communication message is intended to be retransmitted, modifies (e.g., decrements) the repetition data, and retransmits the communication message in association with the modified repetition data.

FORWARD ERROR CORRECTION MECHANISM FOR PERIPHERAL COMPONENT INTERCONNECT-EXPRESS (PCI-E)

Aspects of the embodiments are directed to systems, methods, and devices that can activate forward error correction (FEC) based on the channel loss of a channel. The channel's loss can be characterized as a high loss channel if the channel loss exceeds a predetermined threshold value. For channels with high loss and for those that operate at high data rates (e.g., data rates commensurate with PCIe Gen 4 or Gen 5), FEC can be activated so that the channels can achieve higher data rates.

Time division duplex wireless network and associated method using connection modulation groups

A wireless network is provided that includes a base station and subscriber stations that communicate with the base station using radio frequency (RF) time division duplex (TDD) signaling. The base station may establish medium access control (MAC) connections with each station. The base station monitors communications with the stations and, in accordance, assigns stations or MAC connections to modulation groups. The base station transmits signals on MAC connections or to stations in a modulation group in adjacent TDD slots within a TDD frame. The base station may receive access requests from the stations, evaluate traffic requirements for the stations, and determine a longest downlink portion for the stations. The base station then allocates downlink and uplink portions of a TDD frame according to the length of the longest downlink portion.

Transmitter and method of transmitting and receiver and method of detecting OFDM signals

A transmitter transmits payload data using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) symbols. The first OFDM symbol is a first type having a number of sub-carriers which is less than or equal to the number of sub-carriers of the one or more second OFDM symbols of a second type and a guard interval for the first OFDM symbol is selected in dependence upon the longest possible guard interval of the second OFDM symbol. Accordingly an OFDM communications system can be formed in which data is transmitted using a frame structure in which a guard interval is adapted to allow a mix of different types of OFDM symbols.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ANALYZING PERFORMANCE SILENCE PACKETS

In one embodiment, a method includes identifying, by a packet analyzer, one or more silence packets within a network and initiating, by the packet analyzer, a replacement of the one or more silence packets with one or more performance silence packets. The one or more performance silence packets are transmitted between a first node of the network and a second node of the network during a silence period. The method further includes receiving, by the packet analyzer, information associated with the one or more performance silence packets; and analyzing, by the packet analyzer, a connection between the first node of the network and the second node of the network using the information associated with the one or more performance silence packets.

HETEROGENEOUS ACCESS GATEWAY FOR AN INFORMATION-CENTRIC NETWORKING ENVIRONMENT

A method is provided in one example embodiment and may include receiving an interest message at a gateway, wherein the gateway provides connectivity to a plurality of radio accesses that interface with an Information-Centric Networking-based (ICN-based) network; identifying a service class associated with the interest message; selecting a particular radio access of the plurality of radio accesses to handle traffic for the interest message based on at least one of: one or more policies associated with the service class, one or more policies associated with the plurality of radio accesses, and network conditions associated with the plurality of radio accesses; and forwarding the interest message to the particular radio access.

FILE DELIVERY FAILURE FEEDBACK AND APPLICATION FEEDBACK

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for file delivery feedback and/or application feedback for certain application services. An example method generally includes communicating files with a user equipment (UE), each of the files having a plurality of packets, determining that a delivery failure occurred for at least one of the files, and sending, to a server entity, a notification of the delivery failure.

Dynamic numerology based on services

A base station can select orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) numerologies that define subcarrier spacing values based on attributes associated with one or more services that a user equipment (UE) is using. The base station can use the selected OFDM numerologies for transmission associated with the services. When the UE is using multiple services simultaneously, the base station can select the same or different OFDM numerologies for the multiple services.
