SELECTION BETWEEN CODE TYPES FOR ENCODING INFORMATION BITS
Methods and apparatus are provided for selecting a code type. A type of code is selected from a set of code types to use as an inner code for a concatenated encoding scheme for encoding information bits of a channel, wherein the selection is based on one or more channel coding parameters including a false alarm detection objective for the channel. A codeword is generated by encoding the information bits using the type of codes selected as the inner code and an outer code. The generated codeword is transmitted.

CHAIN BROADCASTING IN VEHICLE-TO-EVERYTHING (V2X) COMMUNICATIONS
The subject matter described herein is directed towards a technology that increases the reliability of transmitting information, and extends the coverage of a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) network by propagating received information in a multiple-stage chain communication in a wireless communication system. A transmitting device transmits a communication message with repetition data indicating number of times the communication message is to be retransmitted in the wireless communication system. A receiving device determines from the repetition data that the communication message is intended to be retransmitted, modifies (e.g., decrements) the repetition data, and retransmits the communication message in association with the modified repetition data
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SENDING MODULATION AND CODING SCHEME (MCS)
This application provides a method for communicating a modulation and coding scheme (MCS). A terminal device obtains a modulation order, a code rate, or a spectral efficiency, determines an index of a reference MCS from a mapping table based on the obtained modulation order, code rate, or spectral efficiency, and reports the index of the reference MCS to a network device. The mapping table includes one or more mapping relationships between an MCS index and a modulation order, a code rate, or a spectral efficiency. The terminal device may process uplink or downlink data based on the determined MCS, thereby improving data transmission reliability.
Adapting a Millimeter-Wave Wireless Link
An interface circuit in an electronic device may perform wireless link adaptation. During operation the interface circuit may transmit at least two data streams, where a first data stream of at least the two data streams has a higher quality-of-service (QoS) criterion and a lower modulation coding scheme (MCS), and a second data stream of at least the two data streams has a lower QoS criterion and a higher MCS. Then, the interface circuit may estimate a communication performance metric associated with the second data stream. Next, the interface circuit may selectively transmit an MCS probe associated with the second data stream based at least in part on the communication performance metric and the lower QoS criterion. Moreover, in response to receiving feedback information associated with the recipient electronic device and the MCS probe, the interface circuit may modify the first MCS and/or the second MCS.

Configuration of control channels in a mobile communication system
The invention relates to a method, apparatus and system for configuring control channels in a mobile communication network and a mobile station. In order to suggest another improved scheme for configuring control channels, in particular control channels related to the transmission of user data the invention suggests aligning the size of the control channel information of different formats to an equal number of coded control channel information bits and/or modulation symbols for each control channel. The control channels may comprise scheduling related control information. According to another aspect of the invention, the size of the control channel information is aligned by means of modulation and/or coding, however the control channel information is aligned to one out of a set of numbers of coded control channel information bits and/or modulation symbols for each control channel.
