SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREDICTIVE LINK PLANNING
A communication system for providing predictive adaptive coding and modulation (ACM) during transmission between terminals is provided. One or more receiving terminals are adapted for detecting changes in a transmission rate and automatically adapting its demodulation to the changes. A transmitting terminal is adapted for transmitting data to the one or more receiving terminals using predictive ACM by selecting channel parameters from a lookup table without receiving channel parameters over a return link from the one or more receiving terminals. The channel parameters may be at least one of a channel symbol rate, a code type, and a frequency.

A method for determining transmission rate, an apparatus, a transmission device, and a storage medium. The method includes: determining at least two candidate transmission rates; performing data transmission for a period of time at each of the candidate transmission rates; determining an energy utilization rate of battery power during the data transmission at each of the candidate transmission rates; and selecting a target transmission rate for subsequent data transmission from the candidate transmission rates according to the energy utilization rate.

An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes a communication circuitry that supports to transmit and receive data with a base station on a licensed band and an unlicensed band, a processor, and a memory electrically connected with the processor. The memory stores instructions, when executed, causing the processor to configure a first cell on a licensed band and configure a second cell on an unlicensed band, among a plurality of cells associated with the base station, trigger an unlicensed band preferred mode, and transmit control information for inducing to increase an amount of data transmitted and received over the unlicensed band to the base station, based on the triggering of the unlicensed band preferred mode. In addition, various embodiments recognized through the specification are possible.

A transmitting terminal transmits data to the one or more receiving terminals using predictive ACM by selecting channel parameters for a lookup table without receiving channel parameters over a return link from the one or more receiving terminals.
Channel state information transmission method, access network device, and terminal device
This application provides a channel state information transmission method, an access network device, and a terminal device. The method includes: receiving, by an access network device, CSI reported by a terminal device, where the CSI includes a first PMI and a second PMI; and determining, by the access network device based on the first PMI and the second PMI, a precoding matrix W whose rank is greater than or equal to 2, where W meets W=W.sub.1×W.sub.2, and the second PMI is used to indicate some column vectors in W.sub.2. According to the method in the embodiment, overheads of feeding back the CSI by the terminal device are effectively reduced.
MCS update in group control channel
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may receive an indicator of retransmission scheduling for a plurality of UEs, determine, based on a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) update in the indicator, resources for receiving a retransmission, and receive the retransmission on the determined resources. A base station may receive a negative acknowledgement report from at least one UE of a plurality of UEs, determine a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) update for the at least one UE, generate an indicator of retransmission scheduling for the plurality of UEs, the indicator including the MCS update for the at least one UE, and transmit the indicator.
ASSESSING OPERATING CONDITIONS OF A RECEIVER IN A COMMUNICATION NETWORK BASED ON FORWARD ERROR CORRECTION DECODING PROPERTIES
A system is configured to measure a forward error correction (FEC) decoding property associated with applying FEC decoding to FEC-encoded bits or symbols at a receiver device deployed in a communication network. The system is further configured to provide an assessment of operating conditions of the receiver device based on the FEC decoding property. In one example, the FEC decoding property comprises a distribution of a number of iterations of a FEC decoding operation applied to a plurality of FEC blocks processed within a period of time. In some examples, the FEC decoding property comprises any one of heat, temperature, current, voltage, active clock cycles, idle clock cycles, activity of parallel engines, activity of pipeline stages, and input or output buffer fill level of the FEC decoding. In some examples, the assessment is based on a comparison between the FEC decoding property and reference FEC data.
Support for multiple coding schemes
A method of wireless communication of a user equipment (UE) includes communicating with a base station using a baseline channel code. The UE indicates to the base station, using the baseline channel code, support for an additional channel code that is different than the baseline channel code. The UE receives, from the base station, an indication to operate using the additional channel code. Then, the UE receives a first transmission on first set of resources and a second transmission on a second set of resources from the base station, the first transmission being encoded with the baseline channel code and the second transmission being encoded with the additional channel code.
Video tagging for video communications
A method, an apparatus, and a system for tagging a video for video communications include: transmitting, from a first apparatus using a network, a first video stream of a first user to a second apparatus of a second user that is in video communication with the first user; receiving, from the second apparatus using the network, a second video stream of the second user; determining, using the second video stream by a processor, a reaction of the second user to the first video stream; and associating the reaction of the second user with the first video stream. The apparatus includes a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory is configured to store instructions which when executed by the processor become operational with the processor to perform the method.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DOWNLINK CONTROL CHANNEL IN SHORTENED TRANSMISSION TIME INTERVALS
A method of receiving a downlink control channel in a user equipment may include receiving, using two or more antenna ports, a shortened physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmitted using a space-frequency block code (SFBC), by using at least one shortened control channel element (SCCE) for shortened transmission time interval (STTI) transmission; and monitoring the shortened PDCCH. The at least one SCCE may include at least one shortened resource element group (REG) including a number of resource elements (REs), where the number is unequal to an integer multiple of the number of antenna ports allocated to the shortened PDCCH.
