This document describes methods, devices, systems, and means for a switching scheme for opting in and out of multi-user orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (MU-OFDMA). In one aspect, an electronic device enters the MU-OFDMA mode to communicate via a wireless network over a shared-channel bandwidth. During the MU-OFDMA mode, the electronic device determines that an uplink-queue size is greater than a first threshold size. Responsive to the determining, the electronic device opts out of the MU-OFDMA mode and enters a single-user mode to contend for a transmit channel for transmitting uplink data.

Communication node and method performed therein for controlling transmission

Embodiments herein relate to, e.g., a method performed by a communication node for controlling one or more communication parameters of a channel between a first communication device and a second communication device in a wireless communication network. The communication node, upon obtaining an indication of a channel quality of the channel to the second communication device, uses a correction value and the indication when determining the one or more communication parameters. The correction value is based on a decoding success of one or more previous transmissions, which one or more previous transmissions are based on an obtained previous indication of a previous channel quality from the second communication device, and wherein a change of the correction value relative a previous correction value is limited.

Control information from macrocell to node, mapping data blocks to UE ID

A relay node receives a data block containing multiplexed data streams intended for multiple user equipment (UE) devices being served by the relay node. The relay node extracts the data streams from the data block and allocates them each to a separate narrowband channel that is associated with a particular UE device. The relay node repeatedly transmits the narrowband channels to the UE devices in a broadcast transmission that is transmitted for a predetermined number of repetitions. Each UE device decodes their own respective narrowband channel to obtain the data stream intended for the UE device associated with a particular narrowband channel. A feedback mechanism is utilized by the relay node to determine whether to retransmit a data packet or a new data packet in subsequent broadcast transmissions.
