Measurements and Channel State Information (CSI) feedback are configured using communications between a network and user equipment (UE). The communications includes a first signaling from a network component to the UE indicating one or more reference signal (RS) resource configurations, a second signaling indicating one or more interference measurement (IM) resource configurations, and a third signaling indicating a CSI report configuration, wherein the CSI report configuration indicates a subset of the one or more RS resource configurations and a subset of the one or more IM resource configurations. The UE establishes a RS based measurement according to the subset of the one or more RS resource configurations and an IM according to the subset of the one or more IM resource configurations. The UE then generates and sends to the network a CSI report in accordance with the CSI report configuration and using the RS based measurement and the IM.

Timing synchronization for downlink (DL) transmissions in coordinated multipoint (CoMP) systems

Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to adjust a receiver timing is disclosed. The UE can decode a plurality of channel-state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) received from a plurality of cooperating nodes, wherein the plurality of cooperating nodes are included in a coordination set of a Coordinated MultiPoint (CoMP) system. The UE can generate a plurality of received RS timings from the plurality of CSI-RSs, wherein the received RS timings represent timings from the plurality of cooperating nodes. The UE can determine a composite received RS timing from the plurality of received RS timings. The UE can adjust the receiver timing based on the composite received RS timing.

OMAMRC transmission method and system with variation in the number of uses of the channel

A transmission method with slow link adaptation intended for an OMAMRC telecommunication system with M sources (s1 . . . , sM), optionally L relays and a destination, M≥2, L≥0. A number of uses of the channel is allocated to each source for transmission and this number is determined by the destination during slow link adaptation for each source based on statistical knowledge of all of the channels.

Joint source channel coding for relaying

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for joint source channel coding for efficiently relaying a set of bits mapped to a modulation symbol. A method that may be performed by a wireless relay node includes obtaining a set of bits to convey to a second wireless node. The method may include mapping the set of bits to a first modulation symbol of a set of modulation symbols, wherein the mapping is chosen based on an interpreted value of the set of bits. The method may include transmitting the first modulation symbol to the second wireless node.
