Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support synchronization signal block (SSB) coverage extension for a sub-terahertz (sub-THz) band. The UE may monitor for multiple primary synchronization signals (PSSs) in a first instance of an SSB, a number of PSSs determined by the base station based on a periodicity of the SSB. The UE may combine the PSSs and determine a frequency offset for the SSB. The UE may monitor for additional instances of the SSB in accordance with the frequency offset. In some examples, the UE may monitor for one or more secondary synchronization signals (SSSs) in the first and additional instances of the SSB and combine the SSSs. In addition, the UE may monitor for a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) in the first and additional instances of the SSB, and decode the PBCH using log-likelihood ratio (LLR) combining.

The method includes: in a detection period, receiving a first pilot signal sent by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the first pilot signal being a downlink signal obtained by modulating a useful signal at a preset candidate frequency, and the preset candidate frequency including a frequency in a same frequency band and/or different frequency bands; determining a downlink operating frequency from the preset candidate frequency according to the first pilot signal; sending a first feedback signal to the UAV, the first feedback signal including information about the downlink operating frequency; and receiving downlink data sent by the UAV and modulated at the downlink operating frequency. In this way, frequency detection in a same frequency band and/or across frequency bands is implemented to select an optimal preset candidate frequency as an operating frequency, so that data transmission between a UAV and a remote control is more stable, interference from an external signal is reduced, and quality of data transmission between the UAV and a ground end is improved.

Various aspects of the disclosure relate to distributed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication such as coordinated beamforming or Joint MIMO. In some aspects, distributed MIMO is used to support communication in a cluster of wireless nodes (e.g., access points). A distributed MIMO scheduling scheme as taught herein is used to schedule the wireless nodes (e.g., access points and/or stations) operating within the cluster. For example, stations may be scheduled across basis services sets of the access points for a downlink transmission and/or an uplink transmission.

For example, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, signaling indicating a group of component carriers (CCs) and one or more subbands within the group of CCs. The UE may receive one or more reference signals within the one or more subbands and determine a group CQI index corresponding to the group of CCs based at least in part on the one or more reference signals. The UE may then transmit a report to the base station indicating the group CQI index and the base station may determine a CQI index for each of the one or more subbands based on the group CQI index.
