Method and apparatus for signaling aperiodic channel state indication reference signals for LTE operation

A User Equipment (UE) can receive Downlink Control Information (DCI) from a base station. The DCI can contain a Channel State Information (CSI) request on a physical control channel in a subframe of a first serving cell. The CSI request can direct the UE to perform CSI measurements for at least one aperiodic Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) of a second serving cell. The UE can ascertain CSI-RS resources in a subframe of the second serving cell based on at least the DCI contents. The UE can determine CSI based on the ascertained CSI-RS resources. The UE can send the determined CSI to the base station.

METHODS FOR CENTRALIZED CHANNEL SELECTION ACROSS DIFFERENT CELLS IN A RADIO ACCESS NETWORK

A method is shown for allocating a plurality of channels to a plurality of radio nodes (RNs) in a radio access network (RAN). In accordance with the method, an initial RN is selected from among the plurality of RNs. A first of the plurality of channels is assigned to the initial RN. The first channel is selected such that external interference experienced by the initial RN from sources other than the RAN on the first channel is minimized. A second RN is selected from among the plurality of RNs. A second of the plurality of channels is assigned to the second RN. The second channel is selected such that a metric reflective of an information carrying capacity of the RNs that have already been assigned one of the plurality of channels is maximized. The assigned channels are allocated to the respective RNs to which they have been assigned.

Wireless equipment for transmitting uplink signal through reduced transmission resource block and power, and enodeb

According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a wireless equipment for transmitting an uplink signal through a reduced transmission resource block (RB) in a wireless communication system. The wireless equipment can comprise: a processor; and a radio frequency (RF) unit for transmitting an uplink signal under control of the processor. When the RF unit is set to a predetermined channel bandwidth and a predetermined frequency range and must satisfy a predetermined maximum allowed value of spurious radiation to protect another frequency range, the uplink signal can be transmitted according to a predetermined maximum number of RBs instead of a total number of RBs for the predetermined channel bandwidth.

An information format and apparatus used by a base station to make a scheduling decision when the base station allocates resources to a terminal in a mobile communication system are provided. Operations of a terminal to report a maximum transmission power accurately to the base station in a scheduling process are also provided. A method for calculating a maximum transmit power in a constant manner regardless of a channel status is also provided.

USER APPARATUS

A user apparatus includes: a receiver configured to perform predetermined measurement for a resource set in direct communication between terminals, the resource set having a likelihood of being used by another group to which the user apparatus does not belong; a control unit configured to determine, based on a result of the predetermined measurement, whether an effect from said another group having a likelihood of using the resource set is acceptable; and a transmitter configured to use the resource set to perform transmission to another user apparatus when a determination is made that the effect from said another group that uses the resource set is acceptable.

Low adjacent channel interference mode for a digital television system

Methods and apparatuses are provided with a solution to adjacent channel interference when a multi-carrier modulation system (e.g., OFDM) replaces a legacy modulation system and co-exists with it for a period of time. The adjacent channel interference can be reduced by blocking (setting to 0) and not using some of the carriers at the edge of the spectrum during the transition period. This effectively reduces the bandwidth of the channel and consequently, the adjacent channel interference caused by the multi-carrier signal. However, at some point in time, the legacy system will be turned off and the adjacent channel interference into the original channels will no longer be important. The present principles propose a mechanism to allow for the unblocking of the removed carriers once the interference problem becomes less strict.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING SIGNAL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method and device for transmitting/receiving a signal in a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, transmits a PUCCH including UCI. With respect to a resource for transmitting the PUCCH, the PUCCH is determined to be associated with a first interlace, among the first interlace and a second interlace, on the basis that: (i) the first interlace, and the second interlace having a higher index than that of the first interlace are configured by means of information on the PUCCH resource; and (ii) the number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) for transmitting the UCI is equal to or less than the number of PRBs of the first interlace.

MITIGATION OF INTER-BAND INTERFERENCE TO RECEIVERS BY ALLOCATING ALERTS IN FREQUENCY DOMAIN BASED ON SEVERITY

A transmitting device may select frequency domain resources for an alert transmission based on a severity level of the alert transmission. The transmitting device may determine a severity level of an alert transmission to be transmitted on one or more available channels. The transmitting device may determine a presence of one or more systems configured to transmit on one or more neighbor channels of the one or more available channels. The transmitting device may select, for the alert transmission, frequency domain resources within the one or more available channels based on the presence of the one or more systems and the severity level. The frequency domain resources for a highest severity level transmission are spaced further apart from the one or more neighbor channels in the frequency domain than resources for a lower severity level transmission. The transmitting device may transmit the alert transmission on the frequency domain resources.
