Method and apparatus for configuring SRS resource for cooperating cells
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for configuring Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) resource of cooperating cells. The method includes: grouping all cells into different cell groups; determining a SRS initial time domain resource configuration order of each cell group; determining a SRS resource grouping policy of the cells according to state information of user equipments; and configuring SRS resources for the user equipments accessing each cell according to the SRS initial time domain resource configuration order and the SRS resource grouping policy.
UPLINK RESOURCE SHARING FOR SIDELINK DEVICES
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to support allocation of a group-based configured uplink resource for idle mode uplink transmissions. User equipments (UEs) may be grouped geographically and/or functionally and may have sidelink communications among themselves, and may be in an inactive mode or an idle mode. A base station may allocation one or multiple configured uplink resources to the group of UEs, where the base station may be aware of the group based on signaling from a UE of the group. The group of UEs may determine which UE of the group may use the allocated resources, and in which occasions. Based on the determination, one or more UEs of the group may transmit an uplink message to the base station using the configured uplink resource assigned to the group.
PDCCH MONITORING CAPABILITY INDICATION PER SEARCH SPACE SET GROUP
A user equipment (UE) transmits, to a base station, an indication of a capability for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring. The UE receives, from the base station, a configuration of a plurality of search space set groups based on the capability. The apparatus then monitors PDCCH candidates for a PDCCH from the base station based on a search space set group and the configuration. A base station receives, from a UE, an indication of a capability for PDCCH monitoring and transmits, to the UE, a configuration of a plurality of search space set groups based on the capability. The apparatus transmits a PDCCH to the UE based on the search space set group and the configuration associated with the search space set group.
Shared channel remapping in a multiple radio access technology co-existence scenario
A user equipment, base station and methods are provided. The user equipment includes processing circuitry configured to obtain an indication of a resource mapping for a first radio access technology, RAT, that allows for co-existence with a second RAT within at least a portion of a transmission band, and determine communication resources based on the obtained resource mapping indication.
Reference signals for initial acquisition in 5G systems
Disclosed herein are apparatuses, systems, and methods for reference signal design for initial acquisition, by receiving a first primary synchronization signal (PSS) and a first secondary synchronization signal (SSS) from a first transmit (Tx) beam, in first contiguous orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols of a downlink subframe. A UE can receive at least a second PSS and a second SSS from a second Tx beam in contiguous OFDM symbols of the downlink subframe. A UE can then detect beamforming reference signals (BRSs) corresponding to the first Tx beam and the second Tx beam, based on identification of physical cell ID information and timing information processed from the first PSS, the second PSS, the first SSS, and the second SSS. The UE can select the first Tx beam or the second Tx beam that was received with the highest power, based on the BRSs. Other embodiments are described.
Interlace hopping in unlicensed band
Methods and arrangements for determining a next interlace having a next structure to be applied during a next transmission interval in an unlicensed spectrum are disclosed. The next structure is to be applied for a transmission over a wireless interface in a wireless communications network operating in an unlicensed spectrum, wherein a first interlace is applied during transmission in a first transmission interval and wherein the first interlace has a first interlace structure formed by a plurality of physical resource blocks, PRBs, that are arranged with a given subcarrier spacing in one of a set of interlaces. The method includes defining a frequency shift based on the number of PRBs per interlace and a maximum allowed power for a single interlace and determining the next interlace structure by shifting the first interlace structure by the defined frequency shift.
Adaptive receive diversity
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may enable adaptive receive diversity (RxD) by receiving an indicator for a channel occupancy time (COT), outside of the COT and in a non-RxD mode, and may transfer to the RxD mode for reception during the COT. After an end to the COT, the UE may return to the non-RxD mode. In this way, the UE enables improved power gain, diversity gain, or spatial nulling gain during a COT, and enables reduced power utilization outside of the COT.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RECEPTION AND TRANSMISSION OF CONTROL CHANNELS
A base station can operate a first serving cell on a licensed carrier frequency and a second serving cell on an unlicensed carrier frequency. The base station can perform a listen before talk (LBT) on the unlicensed carrier frequency for a first time duration. The base station can determine that the unlicensed carrier frequency is free. The base station can transmit an activation command on the first serving cell for receipt by a UE, the activation command being configured to activate the UE to receive transmissions from the base station on the second serving cell. The base station can transmit after determining that the unlicensed carrier frequency is free, a reserve transmission on the unlicensed carrier frequency at least until the base station begins transmission of the activation command on the first serving cell.
Terminal and radio communication method
A terminal is disclosed including a receiver that detects a synchronization signal block including a broadcast channel; and a processor that interprets an information element within the broadcast channel differently depending on whether a condition is met. In other aspects, a radio communication method for a terminal and a base station are disclosed.
