Additional embodiments are disclosed.
Information processing method and smart cube
The present disclosure relates to an information processing method and a smart cube. The information processing method includes obtaining display information via a smart cube, wherein the smart cube includes a cube block having a plurality of outer surfaces each having at least one of a plurality of display screens, each one of the plurality of display screens is configured to display a piece of display content, the display information is configured to indicate positions of K display tiles and K pieces of display content corresponding to the K display tiles, each one of the K display tiles corresponds to one of the plurality of display screens, and K is smaller than a total number of the display screens on the smart cube; displaying the K pieces of the display content on the K display tiles based on the display information; detecting a turning of the smart cube; determining updated information based on the turning of the smart cube, wherein the updated information is the display information updated based on the turning of the smart cube; determining whether the display content displayed on at least one of the outer surfaces of the smart cube satisfies a preset condition based on the updated information; and triggering a preset operation when it is determined that the display content displayed on at least one of the outer surfaces of the smart cube satisfies the preset condition based on the updated information.
CUSTOMIZABLE RUMBLE EFFECT IN GAMING ACCESSORY
A device for online gaming includes a memory that stores instructions. A processor coupled to the memory, responsive to executing the instructions, performs operations including receiving a selection of a gaming accessory, receiving a selection of a game, and receiving inputs corresponding to selections of parameters for generating a vibration effect at the gaming accessory. The parameters include a control component of the gaming accessory, a game event associated with the control component, a vibration frequency of the vibration effect associated with the game event, a vibration intensity and duration, and a delay time associated with the event. The processor stores the selected parameters and presents the vibration effect during the game in accordance with occurrence of the game event and in accordance with the selected parameters; the vibration effect is presented after the occurrence of the game event in accordance with the delay time.
Managing participants in an online session
The present invention relates to an application that is configured to be operated in a multi-participant environment on a computer network. The application manages participants in an online session of a multi-user application so that if one of the participants exits the session, the session can continue without interruption. The application initiates an online session of the multi-user application, wherein the online session includes two or more participants comprised of network computers that are communicatively linked to a computer network. If the application detects that a first participant has disconnected from the online session, wherein the first participant is responsible for managing certain managerial functionality associated with the running of the multi-user application, then the application broadcasts a notification to existing participants of the online session over the communication network, thereby notifying the existing participants that the first participant has disconnected from the online session. The initiating application then re-assigns the functionality associated with the first participant to an existing participant of the online session. The participants can be communicating in a peer-to-peer arrangement or can be performing server duties in a client-server arrangement.
Center device
Methods and apparatus provide for: receiving inputs at a service provider server system from a controller over an internet connection; using the inputs in a processing system to produce data based thereon representing desired operations by a user of the controller; and transmitting the data from the service provider server system back over the internet connection.
Secondary-game-mode sessions based on primary-game-mode arrangements of user-controlled elements
Approaches for secondary-game-mode sessions based on primary-game-mode arrangements of user-controlled elements are provided. Actions by user-controlled elements of a first user or other game-space elements in a primary game mode of a game space may be managed. A session request for a session in a secondary game mode of the game space may be received from the first user. A first session for the first user may be executed in the secondary game mode such that: (i) the first session involves artificial-intelligence-controlled elements as opponents against the user-controlled elements; (ii) an arrangement of the user-controlled elements at a beginning of the first session is the same as an arrangement of the user-controlled elements in the primary game mode at a time of the session request; and (iii) impacts on the user-controlled elements during the first session in the secondary game mode are not reflected in the primary game mode.
PROGRAMMABLE ACTUATION FORCE INPUT FOR AN ACCESSORY AND METHODS THEREOF
A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, a button including a fixed force magnet coupled to a first housing assembly component serving as a top portion of the button, a variable force magnet coupled to a second housing assembly serving as a bottom portion of the button, and a spring coupled to the fixed force magnetic and the variable force magnet for repelling the fixed force magnet from the variable force magnet according to a spring constant of the spring. The variable force magnet emitting a magnetic field to counter the spring constant and thereby adjust a force required to depress the button. Additional embodiments are disclosed.
User identified to a controller
Methods, systems, and computer programs for obtaining profile data of a user from a wearable device are provided. One example method includes connecting a peripheral device with a base computing device via a data connection. The peripheral device usable for interfacing with a computer game when executed by the base computing device. The method also includes detecting, by the peripheral device, a wearable device of a user that is using the peripheral device. The wearable device having an electronic circuit and a memory for storing information usable to identify a profile of the user. The method further includes reading or obtaining, by the peripheral device, the information from the memory of the wearable device, then sending the information to the base computing device. The information is used by the base computing device to identify the profile of the user. The profile of the user being used to obtain calibration data for the user, to avoid requiring the user to perform calibration each time the user interacts with the computer game.
