Over the top network traffic classification

A system and method is disclosed to transform Over-The-Top (OTT) call log data collected by telecommunications network operators into a peer-to-peer log in order to determine more accurate information. In this method the IP addresses in the call log records are compared to a list of known mediator server IP addresses and the records in the log that contain mediator server IP addresses are removed from the log to create a peer-to-peer log containing only those records that contain peer IP addresses. The data in the peer-to-peer log can then be categorized with confidence to determine network performance information as well as, for example, the percentage of traffic to a particular country. Conclusions may then be inferred regarding the removed data records based upon the data found in the peer-to-peer log.

Embodiments of this application disclose a charging method and a related product. A charging function CHF apparatus receives a first charging request sent by a charging trigger function CTF apparatus, where the first charging request carries event charging information. Then, the CHF apparatus determines a first event charging processing mode based on the event charging information, and processes the first charging request according to the first event charging processing mode. According to the method, the CHF apparatus may determine the first event charging processing mode based on the first charging request, and perform event charging processing. Therefore, charging can be accurately and efficiently performed on an event charging service.

ASSET MANAGEMENT WITH RESPECT TO A SHARED POOL OF CONFIGURABLE COMPUTING RESOURCES

Disclosed aspects relate to asset management with respect to a shared pool of configurable computing resources. With respect to a set of assets which share a resource on a first compute node, a set of asset weight values is identified. The set of asset weight values indicates a set of utilization shares of the resource by the set of assets. A set of asset priority values is identified with respect to the set of assets on the first compute node. The set of asset priority values indicates a relative status arrangement for the set of assets. Using the set of asset weight values and the set of asset priority values, a determination is made to migrate a first asset of the set of assets from the first compute node to a second compute node. Accordingly, the first asset of the set of assets is migrated from the first compute node to the second compute node.

Configuring a service based on manipulations of graphical representations of abstractions of resources

A method to enable defining of a profile of a service through manipulation of graphical representations of abstractions of resources in a data center is disclosed. The profile of the service is accessed. A graphical representation of an abstraction of the first resource type is presented. A graphical representation of an abstraction of a second resource type is presented. A manipulation of the graphical representation of the abstraction of the second resource type is detected with respect to the graphical representation of the abstraction of the first resource type. Based on the manipulation, a correspondence between the abstraction of the second resource type and the profile of the service is identified and a relationship between the abstraction of the second resource type and the abstraction of the first resource type is identified. The profile of the service is updated to include information identifying the correspondence and the relationship.

Technologies for converting mobile communications network billing records

Technologies for converting mobile communications network billing records include a billing record converter system. The billing record converter system receives a data usage billing record associated with a mobile computing device communicatively coupled to a long term evolution wireless communications network. The received data usage billing record is formatted according to a real-time data usage billing record format. The received data usage billing record is converted into a new data usage billing record formatted according to a roaming data usage billing record format that corresponds to a legacy wireless communications network. The new data usage billing record is transmitted to a billing system of the legacy wireless communications network for processing. In some embodiments, the billing record converter system cumulates and converts multiple data usage billing records associated with the mobile computing device into the new data usage billing record. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING CHARGING PROCESSING ON NETWORK SLICE CUSTOMER, AND RELATED DEVICE
20210400445 · 2021-12-23 · ·

A method for performing charging processing on a network slice customer includes: receiving a first charging request message including session information from a session management device, where the session information includes an attribute of a PDU session of a user equipment on a network slice instance; determining that charging processing is to be performed on a target network slice customer for the PDU session; and sending a second charging request message including an identifier of the target network slice customer and the session information to a network slice customer charging device, so that the network slice customer charging device performs charging processing on the target network slice customer for the PDU session. When the second charging request message further includes service unit information, the charging processing includes storing service unit usage information or granting a service unit quota.

User interfaces for automated control and access to disparate data/management systems

Certain aspects of the disclosure are directed to correlating communication data between a plurality of communication service providers, via a data communications server. According to a specific example, the data communications server receives a selection of a communications service provider to interface with the data communications server. In response to detecting an event associated with a first user of the data communications server, the data communications server identifies a second user associated with the event and a type of interaction for the event. The data communications server provides instructions to the selected communications service provider to retrieve data correlated with the second user, and displays the correlated data received from the server of the communications service provider on a device accessible by the first user.

BLOCKCHAIN FOR COMMUNICATION OF SUBSCRIBER DATA RECORDS BETWEEN PUBLIC LAND MOBILE NETWORKS

Mechanisms for implementing a billing process between a first Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN1) and a second Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN2) for a subscriber of the PLMN1 that visits the PLMN2. A method comprises establishing a smart contract between the PLMN1, the PLMN2, and a Data Clearance House (DCH). The method comprises sending a subscriber usage record, represented by a distributed ledger, of the subscriber from the PLMN2 to the DCH using a blockchain upon the subscriber having visited the PLMN2, wherein the blockchain is based on the smart contract. The method comprises sending the subscriber usage record from the DCH to the PLMN1 using the blockchain.
