Method and access unit for accessing industrial communication networks
A method and an access unit for accessing an industrial communication network are provided. An access unit has first ports connected to the communication network and at least one second port. The access unit is configured to pass data traffic between nodes of the communication network through the access unit in a first operational state of the access unit. The access unit is configured to pass data traffic to a test node via the at least one second port and/or allow test data to be injected into the communication network via the at least one second port in a second operational state of the access unit.
Automation network, network distributor and method for transmitting data
An automation network with network subscribers is provided, in which the network subscribers are interconnected via a data line network. At least one network subscriber is configured as a master subscriber, which is adapted to send telegrams via the data line network. At least one network subscriber is configured as a network distributor, which is adapted to route telegrams. The network distributor has a plurality of input/output ports, and is connected to the master subscriber via a first input/output and data line network. The master subscriber is configured to use a telegram element to indicate that the telegram is enabled for processing by the network subscribers. In addition, the network distributor is configured to process a telegram received via the first input/output port when the telegram element indicates enablement of processing of the telegram by the network subscribers.
Method for operating an automation technology facility
The present disclosure relates to automation technology. A first gateway is connected via a first communication network to a field device—and a second gateway is connected to the field device via a second communication network. The first and the second gateway are connected to a control unit. The first communication network and the second communication network are connected to a control room. The control room switches over to the other communication network and establishes a communication connection therewith if a problem is detected in the previous communication connection. Communication access to the first gateway is implemented in the control unit, and communication access to the second gateway is implemented in the control unit via a second driver. The control unit continuously analyses the first communication network and the second communication network and in the event of a control room switchover, switches over to the gateway of that network.

A control and/or monitoring system is disclosed. In an embodiment, the system includes a host device on which an application for generating an Ethernet frame for deriving information about an industrial Ethernet network can be run and an industrial Ethernet tunnel device which is adapted to communicate with the host device. The system is configured to inject the Ethernet frame for deriving an information about an industrial Ethernet network and/or about one or more of the industrial Ethernet devices through the industrial Ethernet tunnel device and to receive an answer in an Ethernet frame format in the host device. An industrial Ethernet tunnel device and a method for control and/or monitoring of one or more devices in an industrial Ethernet network are also disclosed.

The master controller stores a communication schedule that defines an ordered sequence of messages and identifiers associated with each message. Each slave module receives each downstream message, identifies based on the message identifier whether the message is associated with response information from the slave module, and inserts the response information into corresponding upstream messages.

An abnormality detection apparatus for a mobility entity and for detecting an abnormality in a network system is provided. The network system includes a first network and a second network that use different communication protocols. A first communication circuit receives state information indicating a state of the mobility entity. The state information is acquired from the second network. A second communication circuit transmits and receives a first frame according to a communication protocol used in the first network. A memory stores an abnormality detection rule. A processor detects, based on the state information and the abnormality detection rule, whether a control command included in the first frame received by the second communication circuit is abnormal. In a case where the control command is abnormal, the processor prohibits the control command from being transmitted.
