Wireless Acquisition of Digital Video Images
A system can include a first transmitter unit having a first communication engine that controls a first local network, where the first transmitter unit is positioned at a first location. The system can also include a first remote device communicably coupled, using the first local network, to the first transmitter unit. The system can further include a receiver unit having a second communication engine that controls a second local network, where the receiver unit is positioned at a second location. The system can also include a smart device having an application that is communicably coupled, using the second local network, to the receiver unit. The system can further include a bridge network that wirelessly communicably couples the first transmitter unit to the receiver unit. The first local network and the second local network are wireless networks.
Method and system for providing communication control functionality at a remotely located site using a distributed feature architecture
A method for providing communication control functionality at a remotely located site using a distributed feature architecture which provides communication features and data records to an Enhanced Network User (ENU). The ENU connects to a Distributed Feature Network (DFN) in order to gain access to communications features contained in the DFN. Based on the type of communication requested, one or more feature boxes are created in order to implement the requested communication.
Method and system for managing wireless devices using short-range wireless communication
A wireless device includes a self-activation client that allows a user to activate a communication service for that wireless device and for one or more other wireless devices. The communication service may use a long-range type of wireless communication, such as 1RTT CDMA, EV-DO, GSM, or IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX) communication. During the activation process, the wireless device communicates with a device management server using the long-range type of wireless communication but communicates with the one or more other wireless devices using a short-range type of wireless communication, such as IEEE 802.11 (WiFi), Bluetooth, or infrared communication. After the communication service has been activated, the wireless device may subsequently communicate with the device management server in order to manage the communication service for itself and/or for one or more other wireless devices (e.g., to receive updates or to make changes).
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, SERVER, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD
According to one aspect, a communication apparatus is provided which is on a LAN and coupled to a server via an external network involving a NAT traversal with a router of the LAN. The communication apparatus is configured to determine a configuration of the router of the LAN; and request the server to transmit a NAT update request packet to the router, which is registered in the server and performs the NAT traversal, when it is determined that the configuration of the router of the LAN is in two or more stages.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus that communicates with a communication apparatus includes a connecting unit that connects to a first access point in the communication apparatus, a connection-information acquisition unit that acquires connection information for connecting to a second access point in the communication apparatus via the first access point, a storage unit that stores the acquired connection information in a memory, and a receiving unit that receives an instruction to transmit data. Upon receipt of an instruction to transmit data when the connecting unit is not connected to the second access point, the connecting unit connects to the second access point using the stored connection information stored in the storage unit, and when the connecting unit is connected to the second access point, the first access point is disabled.
Apparatus and method for network traffic classification and policy enforcement
A machine has a bus, an input port connected to the bus to receive inbound network traffic, an output port connected to the bus to convey outbound network traffic and a processor complex connected to the bus. The processor complex is configured as a pipeline with individual processor cores assigned individual network traffic processing tasks. The pipeline includes a first set of processor cores to construct network traffic trees characterizing the inbound network traffic and the outbound network traffic. Each network traffic tree characterizes traffic type and traffic rate. A second set of processor cores enforces network traffic policies utilizing the network traffic trees. The network traffic policies apply traffic rate control by traffic type for the inbound network traffic and the outbound network traffic.
System and method of coupling a home area network with the cloud creating a highly secure and scalable private topology
A device, system, and method, according to various embodiments, can include, for example, a hybrid cloud network, one or more personal cloud virtual LANs, and a home area network. The hybrid cloud network can be configured to provide public access and private access. The one or more personal cloud virtual LANs are provided at an overlapping segment of the hybrid cloud network to provide privacy within the hybrid cloud network. The home area network can include a single purpose computer configured as a gateway for the hybrid cloud network and configured to establish a site-to-site secure connection with the one or more personal cloud virtual LANs.
Remote cost based network traffic steering for heterogeneous links in a SDWAN (software defined wide area network)
A health check is generated for at least two member paths between the local SDWAN controller and a remote SDWAN controller, with a set health check probe packets for transmission by the network interface to remote SDWAN controllers. A link cost is determined for each member path from a set of health check response packets received by the network interface. SDWAN network traffic is prioritized for each member path between the local SDWAN controller and the remote SDWAN controller based at least in part on the link cost.
High bandwidth encryption engines in a multipathing IP network
Techniques for generating a per-packet initialization vector for high bandwidth encryption engines in a multipathing IP network are described herein. In examples, a network switch of a first datacenter site may receive a data packet to be sent to a second datacenter site over a network. The data packet may be encrypted according to a virtual extensible LAN (VxLAN) protocol and to be transmitted in a VxLAN tunnel created for the first datacenter site and the second datacenter site. An encryption engine implemented at the network switch may generate an initialization vector (IV) for the data packet based on a packet number (PN) associated with the data packet. The encryption engine may use the IV and information associated with a security association (SA) assigned to the packet to encrypt the data packet. In some examples, a full 64-bit PN may be used to compute the IV for the data packet.
Routing information transmission method and apparatus, and data center interconnection network
A first data center interconnection (DCI) device in a first data center receives a first packet from a Border Gateway Protocol Ethernet virtual private network (BGP EVPN) neighbor, where the first packet includes routing information of a first forwarding instance of an access device in the first data center and an export route target of the first forwarding instance. The first DCI device obtains a second forwarding instance that corresponds to the first packet, where an import route target of the second forwarding instance matches the export route target of the first forwarding instance. The first DCI device generates a second packet that includes routing information of the second forwarding instance and an export route target of the second forwarding instance, which includes a DCI interworking route target. The first DCI device sends the second packet to a second DCI device in a second data center.
