Dynamic trigger compensation in OFDM systems
Systems and methods for enabling pre-compensation of timing offsets in OFDM receivers without invalidating channel estimates are described. Timing offset estimations may be sent along with the received OFDM symbols for FFT computation and generating a de-rotated signal output. The timing offset estimation may provide a reference point for dynamic tracking of timing for an OFDM signal and estimated based on an integral value associated with the OFDM signal.

The present invention relates to channel estimation and equalization in a cellular environment on the basis of an FBMC transmission and reception technique. A communication method of a base station according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps of: determining a reference signal (RS) pattern building block of a plurality of cells according to filter information of the plurality of cells; determining an RS pattern of the plurality of cells by using the determined RS pattern building block and the size of a resource block (RB); and transmitting, to a terminal, information about the determined RS pattern. According to one embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to provide a method and an apparatus for mapping a reference signal in a multi-cell environment.
Mitigation of communication signal interference using adaptive transmit power
In some embodiments, a method for mitigating interference in a channel having multiple users includes: transmitting, by a transmitter, a signal of interest (SOI) to a sequential interference cancellation (SIC) receiver at a transmit power; determining a packet drop rate as seen by the receiver; and decreasing the transmit power in response to determining the packet drop rate exceeds a predetermined maximum packet drop rate. The transmitter's coding rate and/or modulation level may also be lowered based on the decrease in transmit power.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CHANNEL ESTIMATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM SUPPORTING MIMO
Disclosed is a method for estimating a channel of a terminal by a base station in a wireless communication system supporting multiple antennas, the method comprising the steps of: estimating a moving speed of the terminal on the basis of a first channel value acquired at a current time point and a second channel value acquired at a previous time point; determining, on the basis of the estimated moving speed, a complexity degree corresponding to the number of channel values for multiple time points including the current time point; and estimating a channel of the terminal at a next time point on the basis of the determined complexity degree.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ORTHOGONAL PILOT SIGNALING
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining a coherence block for each user equipment (UE) of a plurality of UEs being served by the first cell, resulting in a plurality of coherence blocks, responsive to the determining, identifying a smallest coherence block from the plurality of coherence blocks, identifying a pilot sequence length based on the smallest coherence block, determining a plurality of orthogonal pilot sequences based on the identifying the pilot sequence length, designating, from the plurality of orthogonal pilot sequences, a first group of orthogonal pilot sequences for use in the first cell, and distributing, to each neighboring cell of a plurality of neighboring cells adjacent to the first cell, a respective group of orthogonal pilot sequences from a remainder of the plurality of orthogonal pilot sequences, to prevent pilot contamination between the first cell and the plurality of neighboring cells. Other embodiments are disclosed.

One example method include: generating and sending indication information, where the indication information is used to indicate L space-frequency basis vectors for constructing an M×N-dimensional space-frequency vector; the space-frequency vector includes M N-dimensional precoding vectors, each precoding vector is used in one of M frequency bands, and the space-frequency vector is generated by performing a weighted combination on L space-frequency component vectors; each of the L space-frequency component vectors is a vector including M×N elements that are in one of the L space-frequency basis vectors, and each of the L space-frequency basis vectors is an N.sub.f×N-dimensional vector; the space-frequency basis vector is a three-dimensional oversampled (DFT) vector; and L≥2, N.sub.f≥M≥1, N≥2, and L, M, N, and N.sub.f are all integers.
ADAPTIVE RECEIVE DIVERSITY
A wireless device comprises a primary antenna, a primary transceiver, one or more secondary antennas and one or more receive diversity chains. The receive diversity chains, in some embodiments, include transceiver capability. The wireless device measures and collects various statistics. Based on the statistics, the wireless device enables or disables one or more of the receive diversity chains with respect to a cellular radio access technology (RAT). A disabled receive diversity chain, in some instances is then powered down. During an interval when a receive diversity chain is disabled, the control logic periodically or on an event-driven basis enables a given receive diversity chain to probe channel quality indicator (CQI) and channel rank values. In some embodiments, a time interval for collecting a portion of the statistics, is adapted or backed off in anticipation of use of the receive diversity chain, based on traffic circumstances.
