Terminal and transmission method

The present disclosure provides a terminal capable of efficiently transmitting data of different services. In this terminal (200), a controller (209) determines a transmission operation of a first transmission, corresponding to a first service, and a second transmission, corresponding to a second service, based on the first transmission and a setting of a reference signal included in the second transmission. A transmitter (216) transmits an uplink signal including at least a signal of the first transmission based on the determined transmission operation.

Delay minimization for CSI-RS and SRS transmission

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sounding reference signal (SRS) resource configuration enhancements. A method generally receiving pre-configuration information for one or more reference signal transmissions, performing, at a first time during an ON duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, measurements on one or more reference signals based, at least in part, on the pre-configuration information, determining if, at a second time during the ON duration after the first time, a trigger frame associated with the one or more reference signal transmissions has been received, and transmitting a measurement report corresponding to the measurements if a trigger frame has been received.

Bandwidth constrained communication systems with frequency domain information processing

The present disclosure provides techniques for bandwidth constrained communication systems with frequency domain information processing. A bandwidth constrained equalized transport (BCET) communication system can include a transmitter, a communication channel, and a receiver. The transmitter can include a pulse-shaping filter that intentionally introduces memory into a signal in the form of inter-symbol interference, an error control code (ECC) encoder, a multidimensional fast Fourier transform (FFT) processing block that processes the signal in the frequency domain, and a first interleaver. The receiver can include an information-retrieving equalizer, a deinterleaver with an ECC decoder, and a second interleaver joined in an iterative ECC decoding loop. The communication system can be bandwidth constrained, and the signal can comprise an information rate that is higher than that of a communication system without intentional introduction of the memory at the transmitter.

Periodic resource reservation for serving aperiodic traffic over sidelink

Aspects presented herein may enable a wireless device to use periodic reserved resources to serve aperiodic traffic over sidelink. In one aspect, a wireless device reserves a set of periodic resources for sidelink transmission, where the reserved set of periodic resources include reserved resources for SCI and reserved resources for data. The wireless device transmits SCI without a data transmission in a periodic resource for the period. In another aspect, a first wireless device receives a reservation from a second wireless device for a set of periodic resources for sidelink transmission. The first wireless device receives, from the second wireless device, SCI in a period of the periodic resources, the SCI including an indication that the SCI is not associated with a data transmission.

First path acceptance for secure ranging

A method for first path acceptance for secure ranging includes determining a Channel Impulse Response (CIR) of a communication channel for a plurality of channel taps. Each channel tap corresponds to a respective one of a plurality of time slots of the CIR, wherein the CIR includes a plurality of estimated CIR values. A statistical characteristic is extracted from the estimated CIR values within a temporal range of the channel taps. The statistical characteristic is compared to a reference value to detect a distance decreasing attack.

DYNAMIC USE OF REMOTE UNITS IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM (WCS)

Systems and methods for dynamic use of remote units in a wireless communications system (WCS) include a digital routing unit (DRU) that sums incoming (uplink) signals from the remote units that have active user equipment, while suppressing signals from the remote units that do not have active user equipment. Similarly, the DRU only sends outgoing (downlink) signals to the remote units that have active user equipment. The selective summing of uplink signals improves the gain at the DRU, which allows optimization of the dynamic range of the DRU. Likewise, by selectively sending streams to the remote units, power consumption at the remote units may be reduced, which may allow for smaller, less expensive remote units to be deployed.
