Methods, systems, and devices for channel state estimating and reporting schemes in wireless communication are described. In one aspect, a wireless communication method is provided to include transmitting, by a communication device, a channel state report message that includes at least one of a first field indicative of a value of a parameter or a second field that includes a deviation or a change rate of the parameter.
Real Time Analog Front End Response Estimation for Sensing Applications
Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform improved channel estimates for sensing applications such as ranging. The wireless device may determine noise characteristics, e.g., a spectrum of the variance of noise on a channel and may use the noise characteristics to estimate a response of an analog front end of the wireless device. The wireless device may correct a channel estimate based on the estimated response of the analog front end.
Communication device and communication method
A communication device and a communication method are provided. The communication device includes: a processor configured to generate a Golay complementary set, and a modulator configured to modulate the Golay complementary set to a carrier. Herein, the generated Golay complementary set is generated by using an algebraic structure and has an elastic length, and is adapted to communication application such as channel estimation or signal synchronization.
Receiver for receiving discrete fourier transform-spread-OFDM with frequency domain precoding
Embodiments of the present disclosure are related, in general to communication, but exclusively relate to method and receiver for detecting data in a communication network. The method comprises transforming by a receiver, a received signal in to frequency domain to generate transformed signal. Also, the method comprises equalizing the transformed signal to obtain an estimated precoded signal, which is transformed using inverse Fourier transform to obtain a time domain signal. The time domain signal is de-rotated to produce de-rotated data, on which processing is performed by separating real part and imaginary part associated with the de-rotated signal. The real part and the imaginary parts are filtered and combined to produce a signal, that is demodulated to detect the signal.
COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A communication system and method is disclosed, applicable to the mobile communication using pilot-free channel estimation. In the uplink multiple access, the present invention utilizes the gain division multiple access (GDMA) technology to allow multiple users to share the same resource by utilizing the knowledge of different channel coefficients (channel gains) to distinguish signals transmitted by different users when the transmissions are over different and independent fading channels. Without using pilot signals for channel estimation, the present invention uses the clustering algorithm and the geometrical configuration of the superimposed signals for the superimposed signal sequence received by the base station to implement the estimation of channel gains corresponding to multiple users, and, according to the estimated channel gains, the GDMA technology is utilized to recover the original message transmitted by each user.
A WIRELESS DEVICE, A NETWORK NODE AND METHODS THEREIN FOR ENABLING AND DETERMINING REFERENCE SIGNAL CONFIGURATIONS IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
A method performed by a wireless device for enabling a determination of a reference signal configuration for downlink transmissions in a wireless communications network is provided. The wireless device obtains information indicating the number of used transform coefficients of the total number of transform coefficients determined in a transform-based channel estimator in the wireless device upon receiving a first downlink transmission according to a first reference signal configuration. Also, the wireless device determines, based on the obtained information, if the first reference signal configuration for downlink transmissions to the wireless device is to be modified or not. A wireless device for enabling a determination of a reference signal configuration for downlink transmissions in a wireless communications network is also provided. Further, a network node and method therein for determining a reference signal configuration for transmissions in a wireless communications network are provided.
Enhanced cosite transmitter-receiver isolation
Systems and methods for improving isolation between a cosite transmitter-receiver system. The transmitter may send a first plurality of transmit signals from multiple transmit ports. The first plurality of transmit signals may be related to one another by a first set of complex weights. The receiver may detect channel-impaired versions of the first plurality of transmit signals at one or more receive ports. The receiver may analyze channel-impaired versions of the first plurality of transmit signals to estimate channel state information. The transmitter may use the channel state information to determine a second set of complex weights which will reduce the power received at one or more ports of the receiver when applied to a second plurality of transmit signals. The second set of complex weights may vary with frequency.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LOW POWER SYNCHRONIZATION OF BLUETOOTH SYSTEMS
A method and apparatus for synchronizing a wireless communication receiver such as a Bluetooth receiver, including estimating the condition of the communication channel and operating the receiver either in frequency domain mode or in time domain mode based on the channel condition estimation. A soft threshold is used to estimate the symbols of the access address code. Oversampled data rate received data is processed at symbol rate of the data. Receiver functions are terminated upon determining that no signal that the receiver can decode is being received. Synchronization includes a correlator that processes an entire address code or a correlator that processes the address code in segments.

Methods, systems, and computer program products for jointly processing multiple sectors in a wireless communication network
Methods and systems are described for jointly processing multiple sectors in a wireless communication network. In one aspect, a first antenna serving a first sector is associated with a second antenna serving a second sector for joint processing. First and second antenna data is received. A plurality of wireless users associated with at least one of the first or second antenna data to model for channel estimation is determined, including an interfering wireless user connected via a third antenna serving a third sector not currently being jointly processed with the first or second antenna data. Channel estimates are determined for the plurality of wireless users. The first and second antenna data is jointly processed. Interference from the wireless user connected via a third antenna is suppressed based on a determined corresponding channel estimate for the wireless user and other received information for the wireless user.
