A retiming circuit module, a signal transmission system, and a signal transmission method are provided. The retiming circuit module includes a path control circuit and a multipath signal transmission circuit. The multipath signal transmission circuit includes built-in first signal transmission path and second signal transmission path. The multipath signal transmission circuit may perform first signal transmission between an upstream device and a downstream device based on a first signal transmission frequency and the second signal transmission path. During a period of performing the first signal transmission, the path control circuit may detect a first data sequence transmitted between the upstream device and the downstream device. The path control circuit may control the multipath signal transmission circuit to switch to perform second signal transmission between the upstream device and the downstream device based on the first signal transmission frequency and the first signal transmission path according to the first data sequence.

A receiver includes a plurality of linear equalizers receiving an input signal; and a plurality of samplers configured to sample a plurality of equalization signals output from the plurality of linear equalizers according to a clock signal. Embodiments of this application disclose a board, an optical module, a media access control (MAC) chip, a digital signal processor (DSP), and an information processing method. The board in the embodiments of this application includes a MAC chip, a DSP, and an equalizer. The MAC chip is configured to send first information to the DSP at an optical network unit (ONU) online stage, where the first information includes a first ONU identifier. The DSP is configured to receive the first information, and determine a first reference equalization parameter, where the first reference equalization parameter is related to the first ONU identifier. The DSP is further configured to set an equalization parameter of the equalizer to the first reference equalization parameter.

Provided is a method and an apparatus for optimizing memory power and provide a method and an apparatus for optimizing memory power by minimizing power consumed by pins of a memory by using an SBR pattern. The method of optimizing memory power using a PAM-4 (Pulse-Amplitude Modulation-4) method includes: setting a ratio and sizes of a pull-up transistor and a pull-down transistor included in a driver according to a smallest size of a plurality of eyes included in an eye diagram of a memory; and setting a reference voltage of a sampler and a phase interpolator (PI) digital code value included in the memory by using a signal bit response (SBR) pattern.

A receiving link device includes a receiver (RX) to receive a data signal from a transmitting link device, the receiver including an equalizer to detect RX tap values and a processing device coupled to the receiver, the processing device to perform operations including: programming the receiver with information related to target RX tap values that are associated RX pre-cursors or RX post-cursors; detecting, using the equalizer, that an RX pre-cursor value is greater or less than a target RX tap value; generating, based on the detecting, a tap message including an up or a down command to decrease or increase a corresponding transmitter (TX) pre-cursor value of the transmitting link device; and causing the tap message to be provided to a local transmitter to be transmitted to a remote receiver of the transmitting link device, which causes the transmitting link device to adjust the corresponding TX pre-cursor value.

Methods and systems are described for generating a time-varying information signal at an output of a variable gain amplifier (VGA), sampling, using a sampler having a vertical decision threshold associated with a target signal amplitude, the time-varying information signal asynchronously to generate a sequence of decisions from varying sampling instants in sequential signaling intervals, the sequence of decisions comprising (i) positive decisions indicating the time-varying information signal is above the target signal amplitude and (ii) negative decisions indicating the time-varying information signal is below the target signal amplitude, accumulating a ratio of positive decisions to negative decisions, and generating a gain feedback control signal to adjust a gain setting of the VGA responsive to a mismatch of the accumulated ratio with respect to a target ratio.

A bias structure includes a reference voltage node connected to gate structures of a first NMOS transistor and a second NMOS transistor, a bias voltage node comprising a bias voltage, and a first op amp having a first input connected to the reference voltage, a second input connected to a drain of the first NMOS transistor, and an output connected to gate structures of a first PMOS transistor and a second PMOS transistor. The bias structure further includes a second op amp having a first input connected to the reference voltage, a second input connected to a drain of the second NMOS transistor, and an output connected to a gate structure of a third NMOS transistor and the bias voltage node. The first NMOS transistor matches a transistor of a differential pair of an integrated circuit device.
