Time encoded data communication protocol, apparatus and method for generating and receiving a data signal
An apparatus for generating a data signal comprises a processing circuit configured to generate the data signal, the data signal comprising a sequence of a first signal edge of a first type, a second signal edge of a second type, and a third signal edge of the first type, the first signal edge and the second signal edge being separated by a first time period corresponding to first data to be transmitted, and the second signal edge and the third signal edge being separated by a second time period corresponding to second data to be transmitted. An output interface circuit is configured to output the data signal.
Sensor that transmits signals responsive to a request signal and receives information
A sensor comprises a transmitter to transmit signals over a communication path, the sensor further capable to receive signals from the communication path, wherein the sensor is configured to communicate sensor data having a nibble data signal format at the transmitter in response to a trigger signal received at the sensor.
Set buffer state instruction
Input/output (I/O) operation requests from pageable storage mode guests are interpreted without host intervention. In a pageable mode virtual environment, requests issued by pageable storage mode guests are processed by one or more processors of the environment absent intervention from one or more hosts of the environment. Processing of the requests includes manipulating, by at least one processor on behalf of the guests, buffer state information stored in host storage. The manipulating is performed via instructions initiated by the guests and processed by one or more of the processors.
Codeword synchronization for fiber channel protocol
Efficient codeword synchronization methods and systems for fiber channel protocol are disclosed. The method includes identifying a codeword boundary by detecting 100-bit known patterns in a bit codeword in a transmission.
Antenna array with square wave signal steering
An antenna array is steered electronically by controlling the transmission speed of the RF signal in feed line of each radiator in the array. The transmission speed is controlled using phase shifters, that include variable dielectric constant (VDC) material causing the change in transmission speed. The control signal applied to the VDC material generates the required phase shift. The control signal is calculated for each phase shifter in real time for each control cycle, so as to enable the main beam to track a target, such as a satellite. The control signal is a square wave signal, and each control signal has a specifically calculated duty cycle or frequency to generate the required phase shift.
LOW POWER CHIP-TO-CHIP BIDIRECTIONAL COMMUNICATIONS
Methods and systems are described for receiving symbols of a codeword via wires of a multi-wire bus, the codeword representing an aggregate sum of a plurality of sub-channel constituent codewords, each sub-channel constituent codeword representing a weight applied to an associated sub-channel vector of a plurality of sub-channel vectors of an orthogonal matrix, generating a plurality of comparator outputs using a plurality of common-mode resistant multi-input comparators (MICs), each common-mode resistant MIC having a set of input coefficients representing a corresponding sub-channel vector of the plurality of sub-channel vectors, each sub-channel vector (i) mutually orthogonal and (ii) orthogonal to a common-mode sub-channel vector, outputting a set of forward-channel output bits formed based on the plurality of comparator outputs, obtaining a sequence of reverse-channel bits, and transmitting the sequence of reverse-channel bits by sequentially transmitting common-mode codewords over the wires of the multi-wire bus.
COMMUNICATION SYSTEM IN VEHICLE AND COMMUNICATION METHOD USING THE SAME
A communication system in vehicle according to an aspect includes a transmission unit and a receiving unit. The transmission unit includes a modulation unit that generates a PWM signal having a predetermined duty ratio, an output unit that outputs the PWM signal, a feedback unit that feedbacks the PWM signal, and a transmission controller that controls the modulation unit using the feedbacked signal. The receiving unit includes a reception controller that determined whether to drive a load based on the PWM signal and a switching unit that is turned on or turned off based on the determination of the reception controller.
Transmission device, transmission method, and communication system
A transmission device according to the disclosure includes a driver section that is able to transmit a data signal by using three or more predetermined number of voltage states and set voltages in each of the voltage states; and a control section that sets an emphasis voltage that is based on a transition among the predetermined number of the voltage states, and thereby causes the driver section to perform emphasis.
Real-time haptics generation
One embodiment provides haptic functionality. The embodiment receives an encoded value that encodes an actuator drive value, where the actuator drive value corresponds to a strength of a haptic effect. The embodiment converts the encoded value into a pattern of ON/OFF durations, and plays back the pattern of ON/OFF durations on an actuator to produce the haptic effect.
In-datagram critical-signaling using pulse-count-modulation for I3C bus
Systems, methods, and apparatus are described that enable a device to indicate availability of priority data to be communicated over a half-duplex serial bus without waiting for an ongoing transmission to be completed. In-datagram critical signaling is accommodated without breaking backward compatibility. A method implemented at a transmitting device coupled to a serial bus includes transmitting a data byte over a first line of the serial bus to a receiving device in accordance with a clock signal transmitted by a master device on a second line of the serial device, detecting a first pulse on the first line of the serial bus during a cycle of the clock signal designated for an acknowledgement or negative acknowledgement by the second device, and processing an alert indicated by the first pulse.
