Network game system for executing event in network game
A network game system includes a server apparatus and a plurality of video game apparatuses connected to the server apparatus. A party includes player characters of a plurality of players. When the party battles with an opponent character, the server apparatus simultaneously transmits movie playback information to each video game apparatus for starting playback of a movie. Each of the players can skip the movie at a desired timing. A screen is displayed on each video game apparatus that has skipped the movie until the battle starts. When information is received from each video game apparatus that indicates playback of the movie has ended, the server apparatus simultaneously transmits battle start information to each video game apparatus.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, METHOD AND MEDIUM
A computer functions as: an individual performance data receiver that receives a plurality of pieces of individual performance data from two or more performer user terminals connected via a network, each of the pieces of individual performance data being generated in accordance with a performance operation by a user on the corresponding performer user terminal and transmitted during a performance; a synthetic performance data generator that generates synthetic performance data by synthesizing pieces of individual performance data in an identical time slot, of the plurality of pieces of individual performance data received from the performer user terminals, during the performance, the synthetic performance data being used to reproduce sound in which individual performance contents on the two or more performer user terminals are mixed; and a synthetic performance data transmitter that transmits the synthetic performance data to at least one appreciator user terminal connected via the network during the performance.
Live migration for hosted sessions
Live migration can be performed for a process executing on an allocated resource for an application session. During a session it might be determined that it is necessary, or would at least be advantageous, to migrate the process to different resource capacity. New capacity such as a new computing instance can be identified, and synchronized with a current instance to reflect current state information. This can include obtaining state data from a serialized file or transaction log, among other such options. The client devices on the session can be caused to connect or direct state data to the new instance, and when ready the new instance can be responsible for the process, such as by taking over as the application server for the session. Once the client devices are utilizing the new instance, the process can be terminated on the old instance and the instance destroyed or reallocated.
Dynamic streaming video game client
Embodiments of the present application provide a phased streaming system and process using a dynamic video game client. The dynamic video game client can utilize a state stream game engine in combination with a game application streaming service to provide users with the ability to begin playing games quickly on a huge range of devices.
Interactive Gaming Via Mobile Playmaker
A gaming system, comprising a site server configured to provide game instances to local gaming devices in communication with the site server, a monitor for displaying video information related to the game instances, a central server configured to provide information about the availability of a game to players using local gaming devices in proximity of the site server, provide information about the availability of the game to one of the mobile telephones over the wide-area wireless network, receive, from the one or more mobile telephones, an indication of a selected game offered by the central server, and relay game instances between the site server and the one or more mobile telephones as the selected game is being played by players using the local gaming devices and players using the one or more mobile telephones via the wide-area wireless network.
DISPLAY CONTROL IN CLOUD GAMING APPLICATIONS
A method for controlling a display of a frame representing a state of a game in a network-based gaining application comprising: sending (301A) an information representative of a user action to a server; receiving (305B) at least one frame representing a predicted state of the game predicted from the user action; obtaining an information allowing determining if said at least one frame corresponds to the user action; and; if the at least one frame corresponds to said user action, determining when displaying one of the at least one frame in function of a time at which this user action was performed and of said information.
MEMORY MANAGEMENT IN GAMING RENDERING
Some implementations of this application are directed to a server system including one or more CPUs, a plurality of GPUs, main dynamic memory storing programs and data for use by the CPUs and/or GPUs during program execution, a static memory pool stored in a non-volatile memory, and a memory controller configured to manage the static memory pool. Each of the GPUs includes a local cache and is configured to access the static memory pool via the memory controller. The server system executes a plurality of gaming sessions for a gaming title in parallel on the one or more CPUs. Each of the plurality of gaming sessions is associated with a static data item stored in the static memory pool, and requires a graphics operation executable by a respective GPU using the static data item.
Information processing device, event management server, event participation method, and event participation management method
Disclosed herein is an information processing device for acquiring, via a network, data provided as an event by a content provision server for a set duration and performing an information processing task using the data, the information processing device including: an event participation operation control section adapted to acquire, from a management server that manages an event in which a user of the information processing device is registered for participation, setup data that sets up a given operation to be started at a given time relative to a start time of the event in which the user is registered for participation, and to control the given operation such that the operation is performed at the time specified by the setup; and an information processing section adapted to perform an information processing task using the event data acquired from the content provision server and generate output data after the given operation.
Information-processing system, information-processing apparatus, information-processing method, and program
An exemplary information-processing system includes: an execution unit configured to execute an application program; a prompting unit configured to prompt a user to post to a service for sharing posted information, in response to a predetermined condition being satisfied a predetermined number of times in the application program executed by the execution unit; and a posting unit configured to post posted information corresponding to the predetermined condition to the service in accordance with a user input with respect to the prompting unit.
REQUEST DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
Embodiments of the systems and methods disclosed herein provide a request distribution system in which a request for resources may be executed by a plurality of workers. Upon receiving a request for resources from a user computing system, the request distribution system may select a subset of workers from the plurality of workers to execute the request within a time limit. Once the workers generate a plurality of outputs, each output associated with a quality level, the request distribution system may transmit the output associated with the highest quality level to the user computing system.
