Controlling system and method
A management system for controlling a layout of physical and logical resources, the system including manipulation tools for manipulating physical and logical data flowing between computers and the resources, the manipulation tools including: at least two characters for each of the resources; at least two servicing-items, each for handling one character of the at least two characters, thereby at least one of the resources is serviced by the at least two servicing-items; each of the at least two servicing-items delivers logic events of the logic events regarding the one character handled thereby of the at least one of the resources being serviced by the at least two servicing-items, to the other servicing-item not handling that character.
Enforcing electronic service contracts between compu'iing devices
A method, computer system, and computer program product are provided. A set of classifiers are applied to metric definitions of an electronic contract between computing devices of a service provider and a service consumer. Each classifier includes a selector pattern and a set of variable declarations. Performance data of the service provider computing device are filtered according to the selector pattern of the each classifier. One or more algebraic expressions of the metric definitions are evaluated in accordance with the each classifier and the filtered performance data to determine compliance of the service provider computing device with the electronic contract. Evaluation results indicating whether the service provider computing device is in compliance with the electronic contract are captured and reported.
Event triggered guaranteed service connectivity
A device associated with an enterprise receives, from a user device, a message indicating that a user of the user device has requested a service level for accessing a service while performing teleworking activities for the enterprise. The user device accesses the service via a network that includes a portion controlled by an Internet Service Provider (ISP). The enterprise has established an agreement with the ISP indicating that the ISP is to provide service levels for users who are performing teleworking activities for the enterprise via the ISP. The ISP associated with the user device is identified based on the message. A request is transmitted to the ISP to provide the service level for the portion of the network that is controlled by the ISP and the ISP provides the service level for accessing the service based on the request.
MODEL-BASED SERVICE PLACEMENT
An example computing device is configured to receive an instance of a customer service model representative of a plurality of customer services. Each of the plurality of customer services associated with a corresponding at least one requirement and a corresponding at least one constraint. The computing device is configured to receive an instance of a resource model representative of a plurality of resources and map the instance of the customer service model and the instance of the resource model to an internal placement model. The computing device is configured to allocate the plurality of resources to the plurality of customer services such that the at least one requirement and the at least one constraint for each of the plurality of customer services are satisfied and inverse map data indicating how the plurality of resources are allocated to a format consumable by the customer device and output the inverse mapped data.
FACILITATING AND PROVISIONING CUSTOMER BROADBAND TRANSPORT SERVICE
A system and method for facilitating and provisioning customer broadband transport service between a digital communication port employing digital communications and at least one communications provider, including communicating with a provisioning server to establish service and to coordinate service offerings of one or more communication providers.
Service model management request
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for a service model management request. The method may include receiving an end-to-end network service model for network services. The method may also includes determining a set of domain services that are required to be able to provide an end-to-end network service defined by the end-to-end network service model. The method may further include checking whether at least one management domain is capable of providing the required set of domain services. The method may also include requesting, when the at least one management domain is not capable of providing the required set of domain services, to prepare the at least one management domain to become able to provide the required set of domain services. In addition, the method may include receiving a notification from the at least one management domain indicating an availability to provide the required set of domain services.
Adaptive ambient services
Adaptive ambient services are provided. In some embodiments, an adaptive ambient service includes providing an ambient service profile. In some embodiments, an ambient service includes implementing an ambient service profile for assisting control of the communications device use of an ambient service on a wireless network, in which the ambient service profile includes a plurality of service policy settings, and in which the ambient service profile is associated with an ambient service plan that provides for initial access to the ambient service with limited service capabilities prior to activation of a new service plan; monitoring use of the ambient service based on the ambient service profile; and adapting the ambient service profile based on the monitored use of the ambient service.
Methods for defining a network service descriptor (NSD) for a network service (NS), and network functions virtualization (NFV) orchestrator (NFVO) using said NSD
There are provided methods for defining a Network Service Descriptor (NSD) for a Network Service (NS), and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) Orchestrator (NFVO) using said NSD. The NSD comprises zero, one or more of each of: a Virtualized Network Function (VNF) Descriptor (VNFD), a Physical Network Function (PNF) Descriptor (PNFD), a Network Service Descriptor (NSD), a Virtual Link (VL) Descriptor (VLD), and a VNF Forwarding Graph Descriptor (VNFFGD). One method comprising the step of defining at least one Connection Points (CP) Profile, wherein the CP Profile is referenced through a cpProfileId in a Network Forwarding Path Descriptor (NFPD) attribute of the VNFFGD, the CP Profile specifying a Connection Point Descriptor (CPD) or Service Access Point Descriptor (SAPD) for a given VnfProfile, PnfProfile or NsProfile.
Model-based service placement

Each of the plurality of customer services associated with a corresponding at least one requirement and a corresponding at least one constraint. The computing device is configured to receive an instance of a resource model representative of a plurality of resources and map the instance of the customer service model and the instance of the resource model to an internal placement model. The computing device is configured to allocate the plurality of resources to the plurality of customer services such that the at least one requirement and the at least one constraint for each of the plurality of customer services are satisfied and inverse map data indicating how the plurality of resources are allocated to a format consumable by the customer device and output the inverse mapped data.
