SHARED DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A shared data management system configured to receive frames comprising data from one or more producer devices and to transmit reconstructed frames to one or more consumer devices, a producer device and a consumer device being connected to the shared data management system by way of a communication network using a communication protocol. The shared data management system comprises a memory system having one or more memories. The shared data management system advantageously comprises a central controller configured to store at least some of the data encapsulated in a frame received from a producer device in a target memory area of the memory system, the central controller being configured to compute, for each datum to be stored, the address of the target memory based on an index associated with the datum in the received frame.
PHASE SHIFT DETECTION AND CORRECTION FOR AUDIO-BASED DATA TRANSMISSIONS
Methods and systems for correcting distortions of audio transmissions are provided. In one embodiment, a method is provided that includes receiving an audio transmission that includes symbols. A first portion of the audio transmission including a first subset of the symbols may be identified and compared to an expected sequence having expected symbols. One or more differences may be determined between the first subset of the symbols and the expected symbols and a movement speed between a transmitter and a receiver of the audio transmission may be determined based on the differences. A second portion of the audio transmission may be identified including a second subset of the symbols in the second subset of the symbols may be corrected based on the movement speed between the transmitter and the receiver.
VIRTUALIZED ARCHITECTURE FOR SYSTEM PARAMETER IDENTIFICATION AND NETWORK COMPONENT CONFIGURATION WITH REINFORCEMENT LEARNING
One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for system parameter identification and network component configuration are provided. A state comprising a system parameter combination, a traffic model, and a channel assignment may be generated. A network traffic scenario is executed through a virtualized testbed using the state. A reward for the system parameter combination may be generated based upon key performance indicators output by the network traffic scenario. A reward policy and rewards generated for system parameter combinations are used to select a system parameter combination that is used to configure a network component of a communication network.
Arbitration method and related apparatus
This application discloses an arbitration method and a related apparatus. The method includes: detecting, by the first ABS apparatus, first status information of a service module in the first DC; when determining that a communication link between the first DC and the second DC is faulty, obtaining, by the first ABS apparatus, second status information, wherein the second status information is status information that is of a service module in the second DC and that is detected by the second ABS apparatus; and arbitrating, by the first ABS apparatus, a subsequent service providing capability of the first DC based on the first status information and the second status information.
In-situ passive performance measurement in a network environment
Techniques for in-situ passive performance measurement are described. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a data packet at a first network element, determining whether measurement information is to be collected for the data packet, providing one or more measurement fields for the data packet based on a determination that measurement information is to be collected for the data packet in which at least one measurement field identifies a measurement type, and forwarding the data packet to a second network element. The method further includes determining, by the second network element, the measurement type for the data packet, and performing one or more actions based on the measurement type.
Enforcement of latency determinism across a computer network
The disclosed embodiments relate to implementation of a transaction processing system having improved equity among the communications paths between the ingress/egress points of the trading system network, where electronic data transaction messages originated from, or are destined, for different sources/destinations, effectively enter or exit the trading system, to/from the transaction processing component thereof, i.e., the match engine, market data feed generator, where those messages are ultimately processed and outbound messages reflective thereof are generated. The disclosed embodiments attempt to compensate for variances in latencies as between different network communications routes between the electronic ingress/egress points of the electronic trading system and the internal processing components which implement the functions of the trading system.
Method and apparatus for handling packet delay budget division and quality of service monitoring in a communication system
A method, apparatus and computer program product receive, at a network node of a communication network, information about an accumulated packet delay in the communication network. The method, apparatus and computer program product estimate next hop transport delay and estimate or measure a processing delay of the network node. The method, apparatus and computer program product update the accumulated packet delay by adding the next hop transport delay and the processing delay to the accumulated packet delay. The method, apparatus and computer program product cause transmission of information about the accumulated packet delay in a header of a packet carrying user data or a control packet in the communication network to a next hop node of the communication network.
Method, a computer program product, and a carrier for indicating one-way latency in a data network
Disclosed herein is a method, a computer program product, and a carrier for indicating one-way latency in a data network (N) between a first node (A) and a second node (B), wherein the data network (N) lacks continuous clock synchronization, comprising: a pre-synchronization step. A measuring step, a post-synchronisation step, an interpolation step, and generating a latency profile. The present invention also relates to a computer program product incorporating the method, a carrier comprising the computer program product, and a method for indicating server functionality based on the first aspect.
Energy-balanced and latency-constrained routing methods in wireless network
A method of operating an access control system comprising a plurality of access controls, the method comprising: determining an energy metric of each of the plurality of access controls; determining a latency metric of each of the plurality of access controls; transmitting the energy metric of each of the plurality of access controls; transmitting the latency metric of each of the plurality of access controls; collecting the energy metric and the latency metric at a head node or collecting energy metric at each of the plurality of access controls from a 1-hop transmission distance; and determining a data route through the plurality of access controls in response to the energy metric of each of the plurality of access controls and the latency metric of each of the plurality of access controls.
Monitoring network conditions
A method of identifying a network condition between a pair of network devices, wherein one of the devices comprises a jitter buffer for storing packets received via a network, the method comprising: monitoring a measure of delay in receiving media packets over the network; monitoring a size of the jitter buffer; and identifying a network condition in dependence on a change in the measure of delay and a variation in the size of the jitter buffer.
