Method and apparatus for distributed data network traffic optimization
Embodiments disclosed include a method and apparatus for global traffic control and optimization for software-defined networks. In an embodiment, data traffic is optimized by distributing predefined metrics (data traffic information) to all controllers in the network. The predefined metrics are specific to local network switches and controllers, but are distributed to all peers at configurable intervals. “Local” as used herein implies one POP and its associated switch and controller. The method of distribution of local POP metrics is strictly in band using a packet as defined by the protocol used by the data network.
Proactive tunnel configuration computation for on-demand SD-WAN tunnels
This disclosure describes techniques are described for proactively computing configuration information for policy-driven on-demand tunnel creation and deletion between sites in a software-defined networking in wide area network (SD-WAN) environment. In some examples, a controller device is configured to precompute configuration data for an overlay tunnel through the wide area network to connect a first site and a second site of a plurality of sites in the SD-WAN environment. The controller device is further configured to obtain, after precomputing the configuration data, an indication to configure the overlay tunnel. The controller device is also configured to send, in response to receiving the indication to configure the overlay tunnel, at least some of the configuration data to the first site to configure the first site with the overlay tunnel.

DEVICE, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR GENERATING NETWORK TOPOLOGIES
It is an objective of the present disclosure to reduce computational complexity for obtaining a network topology configuration capable of efficiently accommodating a plurality of traffic demands assumed between nodes present in a network.
A device of the present disclosure includes: a computation traffic generation unit that creates a traffic demand matrix whose elements are values individually obtained by demands between nodes present in a target network area from a plurality of traffic demand matrices created based on predicted traffic demands between the nodes; and a network topology generation unit that generates a network topology based on the traffic demand matrix generated by the computation traffic generation unit and port information of the nodes in the network area.
Vehicle roadside unit interference detection
An infrastructure device includes a transceiver, programmed to communicate with a plurality of vehicles, wherein at least one of the vehicles is located within a distance defined from a location of the infrastructure device, and at least one of the vehicles is located outside the distance from the location of the infrastructure device; and a controller, programmed to measure a channel busy ratio (CBR) for communication with the plurality of vehicles, measure a package error rate (PER) for communication with one or more of the vehicles located within the distance, and responsive to the CBR being greater than a CBR threshold, or the PER being greater than a PER threshold, record an interference event into a log.

Network operation center dashboard for cloud-based Wi-Fi and cellular systems
System and methods for managing a Wi-Fi network of a plurality of Wi-Fi networks from a cloud-based Network Operations Control (NOC) dashboard are provided. A method, according to one implementations, includes the step of obtaining Wi-Fi metrics and cellular metrics from a network. The method also includes the step of displaying a dashboard on a user interface for use by a support agent at a Network Operations Center (NOC). Also, the method includes the step of displaying both the Wi-Fi metrics and the cellular metrics on the dashboard.
Dynamic Adjustment of Deployment Location of Software Within a Network
Optimizing a performance of a software function within a content delivery network, such as a software-implemented virtual cable modem termination system (CMTS) network, a virtualized Radio Access Network (vRAN), a Passive Optical Network (PON), or a Wi-Fi network. The performance may be optimized by dynamically changing a deployment location of a software function for a set of one or more users but not all users of a content delivery network from an original location to an updated location using an instance management platform. The deployment location may be dynamically changing in response to a variety of trigger conditions or concerns, such as but not limited to a difference in compute resources, responding to latency needs or tolerances, and a desired cohabitation of data or other software.
Processing Multimodal User Input for Assistant Systems
In one embodiment, a method includes receiving at a head-mounted device a speech input from a user and a visual input captured by cameras of the head-mounted device, wherein the visual input comprises subjects and attributes associated with the subjects, and wherein the speech input comprises a co-reference to one or more of the subjects, resolving entities corresponding to the subjects associated with the co-reference based on the attributes and the co-reference, and presenting a communication content responsive to the speech input and the visual input at the head-mounted device, wherein the communication content comprises information associated with executing results of tasks corresponding to the resolved entities.
RATE LIMIT AND BURST LIMIT ENHANCEMENTS FOR REQUEST PROCESSING
A method that includes establishing an open connection for responding to requests from clients supported by an application server. The method may further include establishing a set of queues configured for storing requests received from the client via the open connection. The method may further include selecting requests from the queues based on a rate limit threshold and burst limit threshold of the application server. The rate limit threshold may refer to a number of requests that the application server can process within a first time duration, while the burst limit threshold may refer to a number of requests that the application server can process within a second time duration that is shorter than the first time duration. The method may further include transmitting the requests to a set of data processing servers connected to the application server and receiving an indication that the requests have been processed.
