CONTROL OF COMMUNICATION WITH EXTERNAL APPLICATION
An apparatus including at least one processing circuitry, and at least one memory for storing instructions to be executed by the processing circuitry, wherein the at least one memory and the instructions are configured to, with the at least one processing circuitry, cause the apparatus at least: to determine an abnormal operation of an external application with which at least one communication element has established a communication connection; to decide on a change of an uplink traffic to the external application; and to selectively control a communication of the at least one communication element to the external application by providing control information for the at least one communication element, the control information reflecting the decision to change the uplink traffic to the external application.
DATA TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application discloses a data traffic management method and apparatus. The method includes: obtaining traffic control information of a first application and a data traffic value used by the first application, where the traffic control information includes at least an upper traffic threshold; and disconnecting a data connection of the first application when the data traffic value used by the first application is greater than or equal to the upper traffic threshold included in the traffic control information of the first application. In the foregoing solution, real-time traffic management on a single application is implemented, so that a user instantly modifies traffic control information according to a requirement, to manage data traffic in real time.
Method, system, and entity for exercising policy control
A method and a system for exercising policy control, a policy and charging enforcement function (PCEF), and a policy control and charging rules function (PCRF) are provided, which can solve the problem that no policy control can be exercised over application service flows without an application function (AF). The method includes of the following steps: a PCRF receiving information about an application event sent by a PCEF; and the PCRF generating a control policy for a service flow of the application according to the information about the application event, and delivering the control policy to the PCEF. In the present invention, the PCEF sends the obtained information about the application event to the PCRF, so that even when no AF is involved, the PCRF can still generate a control policy according to policy contexts including the information about the application event and the like, so as to exercise an effective policy control over the QoS guarantee, charging and gating of the service flow, thus meeting the requirements of exercising the policy control over data applications with no AF being involved.
Data Transmission Method and System, Network Server, and User Terminal
A data transmission method, a network server, a user terminal, and a system, where the data transmission method includes obtaining congestion control algorithm determining information, determining, according to the congestion control algorithm determining information, a congestion control algorithm used in data transmission with the user terminal, and performing data transmission with the user terminal using the congestion control algorithm. Hence, a corresponding congestion control algorithm can be selected according to an access type and a network access mode of the user terminal, and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) transmission efficiency is improved.
Method and system for prioritising traffic flows
A method for prioritizing traffic within the IP protocol of a data communications network, the method comprising detecting an activity belonging to a pre-defined group of high priority activities; identifying network elements associated with the high priority activity; and prioritizing traffic from the network elements associated with the high priority activity. Also disclosed is a management system arranged to implement the above-described method, and a data communications network comprising said management system.
Integration application utilizing a communications protocol
A computer system configured to facilitate communications over a plurality of communication platforms includes a chat monitor configured to monitor communications over a plurality of communication platforms; a parser coupled to the chat monitor and configured to detect whether a communication entered into a communication client corresponds to a communication protocol, the communication protocol including a protocol identifier and a plurality of primary protocol elements including a first user identifier and an instrument identifier; a protocol validator coupled to the parser and configured to validate communications corresponding to the communication protocol; and a database coupled to the protocol validator for storing validated communications. Each communication platform may be associated with a plurality of communication clients, and each communication platform may be configured to transmit communications between communication clients associated with the communication platform.

Application-controlled network packet classification
Embodiments of the present invention provide a system, method, and computer program product that enables applications transferring data packets over a network to a multi-processing system to choose how the data packets are going to be processed by, e.g., allowing the applications to pre-assign connections to a particular network thread and migrate a connection from one network thread to another network thread without putting the connection into an inconsistent state.
Method for operating a network
A method operates a network, wherein multiple clients are connected to a server for accessing an application that is provided or running on the server. The application is tunneled within one or more corresponding flows between the clients and the server. A device for per flow scheduling of the flows prioritizes the flows based on at least one of application characteristics, application requirements, flow characteristics or flow requirements. The prioritizing by the device takes into consideration a change or a variation, over time, of at least one of an application characteristic, an application requirement, a flow characteristic or a flow requirement.
METHOD AND USER EQUIPMENT FOR BLOCKING NETWORK ACCESS BY ACDC
A disclosure of the present specification provides a method for blocking network access. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving application specific congestion control for data communication (ACDC) blocking information; driving a blocking timer when it is determined by an ACDC blocking check that a network access attempt by a first application being executed is blocked; determining the category of a second application being executed according to a network access attempt by the second application; performing an ACDC blocking check on the basis of the determined category of the second application and the received ACDC blocking information when the determined category of the second application has a higher priority than the category of the first application; and stopping the blocking timer when the network access attempt by the second application should be permitted according to the ACDC blocking check.
