CONTROL SIGNALING OF BEAM FAILURE DETECTION
Systems, apparatuses, and methods for control signaling of beam failure detection are disclosed. A beam pair link may be comprised of multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) or component carriers (CCs). In one embodiment, a beam failure detection reference signal (BFD RS) may be configured, with subsequent BFD RS instances defining a BFD RS periodicity. A BFD periodicity for monitoring the BFD RS may be configured to be less than, or equal or greater than the BFD RS periodicity. A beam failure may be declared if a minimum number of BFD RS instances, either within the BFD periodicity, or nearest the BFD periodicity if no instances fall within the BFD periodicity, fall below a predetermined threshold. The BFD periodicity and BFD RS may be configured for all BWPs/CCs, a subset of BWPs/CCs, or each individual BWP/CC.
Dynamic reservation protocol for 5G network slicing
A method, implemented by a slice registration server, for dynamic reservation of network slices includes receiving a first request from a client for a network slice including one or more of networks, compute, and storage resources in one or more networks for a time period; determining availability of the network resources based on the first request and a state of the one or more networks; transmitting a response to the client based on the availability; receiving a second request from the client based on the response; and causing instantiation of the network resources and providing an acknowledgment to the client based thereon.
FAILOVER MANAGEMENT USING AVAILABILITY GROUPS
Techniques for failover management using availability groups are described. According to some embodiments, customers can define one or more availability groups within their infrastructure. Each availability group may be associated with one or more rules which describe how the availability group should fail over. The availability group definition may define the resources included in the availability group, a target region to fail over to, and capacity reservations for the availability group in the target region. In some embodiments, the definition may also include a replication frequency for storage resources which defines how often data is backed up. Once a customer as created an availability group the customer is then able to either create resources in that availability group or associate already existing resources with the availability group. An availability group management service can ensure that data, capacity reservations and network infrastructure are defined and/or replicated to the target location.
System and method for path state determinations
A system and method for determining a state of a communications system. A determination is made whether a communications path is fully functional, impaired, or non functional. A maximum capacity available to the communications path is determined in response to determining the communications path is impaired. The communications path is limited to a maximum capacity available in response to determining the maximum capacity of the connection as impaired.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING SERVICE DATA
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for processing service data. The method includes: receiving an uplink service flow, wherein the uplink service flow includes a first tunnel identifier and a destination address; determining a first tunnel mapping table corresponding to the first tunnel identifier, wherein the first tunnel mapping table includes the first tunnel identifier, one or more second tunnel identifiers corresponding to the first tunnel identifier, and one or more service addresses corresponding to each of the second tunnel identifiers; searching a service address the same as the destination address from the first tunnel mapping table; determining the second tunnel identifier of the uplink service flow based on the destination address if the searching is failed; and transmitting the uplink service flow to a service anchor corresponding to the second tunnel identifier of the uplink service flow.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND VERIFICATION SYSTEM
An information processing apparatus includes a processor that obtains a flow table from a switch apparatus that processes packets by using the flow table. The processor creates, for each flow registered with the flow table, a verification packet based on identification information that identifies each flow. The processor determines a number of verification packets based on a count value that represents a number of actual packets that have arrived at the switch apparatus. The processor generates the number of verification packets for each flow by copying the verification packet created for each flow. The processor determines transmission order of the generated verification packets based on the count value for each flow and time information that represents a time when a final actual packet of each flow has arrived at the switch apparatus.
SHARED STORAGE MODEL FOR HIGH AVAILABILITY WITHIN CLOUD ENVIRONMENTS
Techniques are provided for a high availability solution (e.g., a network attached storage (NAS) solution) with address preservation during switchover. A first virtual machine is deployed into a first domain and a second virtual machine is deployed into a second domain of a computing environment. The first and second virtual machines are configured as a node pair for providing clients with access to data stored within an aggregate comprising one or more storage structures within shared storage of the computing environment. A load balancer is utilized to manage logical interfaces used by clients to access the virtual machines. During switchover, the load balancer preserves an IP address used to mount and access a data share of the aggregate used by a client.
System and method for improving network performance using a connection admission control engine
The disclosed embodiments include a method, apparatus, and computer program product for modifying a three-dimensional geocellular model. For example, one disclosed embodiment includes a system that includes at least one processor and at least one memory coupled to the at least one processor. The memory stores instructions that when executed by the at least one processor performs operations that includes gathering network performance information regarding data flow communicated with a client of a network over a plurality of connections utilizing performance information packets; and automatically balancing the data flow of the plurality of connections between access points of the network that are available to the client using connection admission control engines.
Distributed State Machine for High Availability of Non-Volatile Memory in Cluster Based Computing Systems
Highly available storage clusters, including NVMeoF storage clusters are disclosed. Such high availability storage cluster may have increased sized, higher availability and decreased individual hardware requirements
LOYALTY SWITCH
A loyalty switch for examining loyalty messages and routing the loyalty messages to one or more loyalty hosts and examining responses and routing the responses back to stores. Such a switch has configurable number of selector handlers pool, and the switch accepts a connection from stores and reads loyalty host information from master data to establish the connection with a loyalty host and to route messages. Each selector handler in the switch has multiple store objects that contain a routing map and connection information from companies' sites and the loyalty host.
