Methods, systems and computer readable media for diagnosing network function virtualization performance
Performance issues in a service function chain having a plurality of resources and a plurality of network functions each having a network function queue are diagnosed. Each network function queue is monitored and queueing information for input packets for each of the plurality of network functions is dumped to a data store. Each resource that is under contention is identified as well as which of the network functions is a contender for the resources. A diagnosing algorithm is used to diagnose performance problems and an impact graph for each victim packet is generated. A summary of results as a list of rules is then provided.
Persistent volumes for stateful applications
Systems and methods for implementing stateful services using cloud-based resources are described. A server computing system determines existence of a first volume based on a launch of a first instance by an auto-scaling group (ASG). The first volume is to have a resource tag having a value similar to a value of a resource tag of the ASG. The first volume was previously attached to a second instance terminated by the ASG. Based on a successful determination of the existence of the first volume, the server computing system attaches the first volume to the first instance. Based on a failed determination of the existence of the first volume, the server computing system generates a second volume, attaches the second volume to the first instance, and set a resource tag of the second volume to a value similar to the value of the resource tag of the ASG.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
A communication unit (2) communicates with a management apparatus directly or via another communication apparatus. A transfer control unit (4) performs processing of transferring a state change notification that has been transmitted from a first communication apparatus and indicates a state change of the first communication apparatus. A proxy calculation unit (6) performs, when a failure in communication has occurred at the side of the management apparatus, calculation for state management performed by the management apparatus using the state change notification. When a failure in communication has occurred, the transfer control unit (4) outputs a state change notification to the proxy calculation unit (6). When the failure in communication has been resolved, the transfer control unit (4) performs control so as to transmit the result of the calculation by the proxy calculation unit (6) to the management apparatus.
Methods and systems for network connectivity
Methods and systems are provided for connecting an electronic device to a network. In some situations, the electronic device connects to a first network provider and pings a first server having a static internet protocol address and a second server having a dedicated uniform resource locator. If the electronic device receives a response from the first and second server, the electronic device maintains its connection to the first network provider. Otherwise, the electronic device connects to a second network provider and pings the first and second servers.
DYNAMIC HONEYPOTS
A mapping system, under administrative control of a Wide Area Network (WAN) controller, can track each host, authorized to access a plurality of Local Area Networks (LANs), in one or more mapping databases including a first network address representing an identifier and a second network addressing representing a locator for each host. The mapping system can receive a request for resolution of a first identifier of a host not presently connected to the network. The mapping system can determine the mapping databases exclude a mapping for the first identifier. The mapping system can update the mapping databases with a first mapping including the first identifier and a first locator corresponding to a honeypot network device. The mapping system can transmit, to one or more LANs of the plurality of LANs, routing information to route traffic destined for the first identifier to the honeypot network device.
SID Allocation
A segment identifier (SID) manager interfaces with clients by way of a library. Clients implementing network services and needing SIDs according to internet SRv6, are allocated blocks by the SID manager using the library. Clients assign SIDs from the block independent of the SID manager using the library. Where a threshold portion of the block is assigned, the library requests an additional block of SIDs from the SID manager. Clients transmit context mappings of assigned SIDs to the SID manager for use by administrators and to enable recovery in the event of failure.
Systems and methods for managing streams of packets via intermediary devices
Virtual application and desktop delivery may be optimized by supplying application metadata and user intent to the device between a client and a server hosting resources for the delivery. The data packets used to deliver the virtual application or desktop may be also tagged with references to the application. By supplying the metadata and tagging packets with the metadata, an intermediary network device may provide streams of data packets at the target QoS. In addition, the device may apply network resource allocation rules (e.g., firewalls and QoS configuration) for redirected content retrieved by the client out of band relative to a virtual channel such as the Internet. The network resource allocation rules may differ for different types of resources accessed. The device may also control a delivery agent on the server to modify communication sessions established through the virtual channels based on network conditions.
Control signaling of beam failure detection
Systems, apparatuses, and methods for control signaling of beam failure detection are disclosed. A beam pair link may be comprised of multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) or component carriers (CCs). In one embodiment, a beam failure detection reference signal (BFD RS) may be configured, with subsequent BFD RS instances defining a BFD RS periodicity. A BFD periodicity for monitoring the BFD RS may be configured to be less than, or equal or greater than the BFD RS periodicity. A beam failure may be declared if a minimum number of BFD RS instances, either within the BFD periodicity, or nearest the BFD periodicity if no instances fall within the BFD periodicity, fall below a predetermined threshold. The BFD periodicity and BFD RS may be configured for all BWPs/CCs, a subset of BWPs/CCs, or each individual BWP/CC.
SECURE CLUSTER PAIRING FOR BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY
Techniques are disclosed for providing backup protection. A first subnet is established for replication in a first cluster that includes a plurality of host devices. Each of the host devices includes a respective controller virtual machine, which together form a virtual local area network for replication. Each of the controller virtual machines is assigned an Ethernet interface. A replication Internet Protocol address is assigned to each of the Ethernet interfaces of the controller virtual machines. Route tables and firewall rules of the controller virtual machines are modified to allow communications between nodes of the first subnet. The first subnet is configured with information related to a second subnet for replication in a second cluster. A dedicated communication channel is generated for replication between the first cluster and the second cluster based on the configuring.
File delivery failure feedback and application feedback
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for file delivery feedback and/or application feedback for certain application services. An example method generally includes communicating files with a user equipment (UE), each of the files having a plurality of packets, determining that a delivery failure occurred for at least one of the files, and sending, to a server entity, a notification of the delivery failure.
