Reservation managing method, and information processing device, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for storing reservation managing program
A reservation managing method implemented by a computer, the reservation managing method includes: executing first processing in response to receiving of a condition for searching for a resource, the received condition being a condition specified from a user, the first processing including searching for a resource matching the received condition among a plurality of resources; storing information about transition of the condition for searching for a resource in a memory in association with the user based on a condition when a reservation by the user is not set among the received conditions; and outputting a notification that a reservation for one resource of the plurality of resources may be set to the user when a reservation for the one resource is canceled, and when the one resource matches the condition identified from the information stored in the memory in association with the user.
NETWORK SERVICE MANAGEMENT DEVICE, NETWORK SERVICE MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND NETWORK SERVICE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
[Problem] A lead time for providing a network service can be shortened.
[Solution] A network service management apparatus 100 that uses resources included in a network functions virtualization infrastructure 140 to provide a network service includes an orchestrator 110 that defines resources that satisfy a resource requirement of a virtual network function constituting the network service and are allocated to the virtual network function, and reserves the resources, and a virtualized infrastructure manager 130 that secures the reserved resources, activates the virtual network function on the secured resources, and generates the network service. When the securing of the reserved resources fails, the orchestrator 110 re-reserves resources to replace the reserved resources, and the virtualized infrastructure manager 130 secures the re-reserved resources, and activates the virtual network functions on the secured resources.
Transmission rate adjustment method and network device
A transmission rate adjustment method and a network device, the method including obtaining, by a network device, a target data stream, where the target data stream includes a first data packet, and where the first data packet includes at least two non-idle units, and inserting or deleting a padding unit between two non-idle units of the at least two non-idle units, in response to bandwidth adjustment needing to be performed, and according to a value of the bandwidth adjustment that needs to be performed, where the padding unit provides adaption to a difference between a bandwidth of an upstream transmission channel of the network device and a bandwidth of a downstream transmission channel of the network device.
Using edge-optimized compute instances to execute user workloads at provider substrate extensions
Techniques are described for enabling users of a service provider network to create and configure “application profiles” that include parameters related to execution of user workloads at provider substrate extensions. Once an application profile is created, users can request the deployment of user workloads to provider substrate extensions by requesting instance launches based on a defined application profile. The service provider network can then automate the launch and placement of the user's workload at one or more provider substrate extensions using edge-optimized compute instances (e.g., compute instances tailored for execution within provider substrate extension environments). In some embodiments, once such edge-optimized instances are deployed, the service provider network can manage the auto-resizing of the instances in terms of various types of computing resources devoted to the instances, manage the lifecycle of instances to ensure maximum capacity availability at provider substrate extension locations, and perform other instance management processes.
DISTRIBUTED TRANSMISSION RESOURCE ALLOCATION
A selected network element is arranged for distributed transmission resource allocation conflict reduction. The selected network element receives a transmission from one of a first other network element and a second other network element and identifies at least one transmission resource indicated by the received transmission as being reserved by the first other network element and the second other network element. The selected network element stores an indication of each of the at least one identified transmission resource. In response to reading the stored indications, the selected network element selects a different transmission resource that is different from the transmission resource indicated by the stored indications. The selected network element transmits a transmission from the selected network element using the selected different transmission resource.
System for utilizing resources from multiple sources to complete a resource distribution
Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for utilizing resources from multiple sources to complete a resource distribution. The invention may receive a distribution request from an entity, where the distribution request includes information identifying a first resource distribution device provided by a user to the entity, a first source associated with the user, and a request amount of resources. The invention may determine whether the requested amount of resources is greater than a first amount of resources in the first source, determine whether the first resource distribution device is associated with one or more other sources associated with the user, and determine whether a sum of the first amount of resources in the first source and a second amount of resources in the one or more other sources is greater than or equal to the requested amount of resources.
Computationally efficient analysis and management of systems modeled as networks
A technique is described for quantifying a change in a system parameter in response to a perturbation of another system parameter. The technique identifies a region of influence of the perturbation and limits the propagation of the perturbation to the identified region.
Enforcement of time-based user access levels for computing environments
A system is provided for enforcing time-based user access levels in a computing infrastructure of an organization. The system includes a processor and a computer readable medium operably coupled thereto, to perform operations which include executing a synchronization of the time-based user access levels, obtaining a first login identifier (ID) of a plurality of login IDs for a group of employees of the organization, identifying a position ID and an employment status ID for the first login ID, determining a current time and a last login timestamp for the first login ID, determining a time-based access rule for the group of employees, determining whether a time period from the last login timestamp to the current time violates the time-based access rule, and setting, for the synchronization of the first login ID, at least a first access level of the first login ID to computing resources.
Resource path monitoring
Systems and techniques are provided for a resource distribution system. Selected resource paths in a resource transfer network may be monitored. A quantity of an intermediate resource type to transfer into resource pools in the resource transfer network may be determined. Each of the resource pools may be associated with a leg that can be part of a route with two legs for one or more of the selected resource paths. Instructions decrementing a register in a repository resource pool by the determined quantities of the intermediate resource type to be transferred into the resource pools in the resource transfer network and incrementing a register in each of the resource pools in the resource transfer network by the determined quantity of the intermediate resource type to be transferred into that resource pool when the determined quantity is greater than zero may be generated and caused to be executed.
Distributed transmission resource allocation

The selected network element receives a transmission from one of a first other network element and a second other network element and identifies at least one transmission resource indicated by the received transmission as being reserved by the first other network element and the second other network element. The selected network element stores an indication of each of the at least one identified transmission resource. In response to reading the stored indications, the selected network element selects a different transmission resource that is different from the transmission resource indicated by the stored indications. The selected network element transmits a transmission from the selected network element using the selected different transmission resource.
